Changes come around real soon, make us women and men
so i'm actually kind of depressed about my birthday tomorrow. 16 was such a nice age. 17 is legitimately OLD. i dont know. it's a little sad. i don't want to grow up, at all.
in other news, i love school, i love my friends, i love my new job, i love "house", and i love the who's song "baba o'reilly". i have a legitimate emotional connection to that song, i don't know why. it makes me happy and hopeful and sort of sad and proud all at the same time. it was already on my iPod, but i rediscovered it when i was watching season one of house the other day and there's this one scene where house has the song playing on his iPod in his office and he's pretending to play the keyboard and the drums for the intro and he's fucking hot. it's the only time i've been extremely attracted to an older man. but that got me thinking, hey, i really like that song. so for the past week or so it's been my main driving song, with the volume all the way up, windows down, and me singing along like crazy. i was driving around UKs campus the other day playing it and i was thinking "you pedestrians are so lucky i am gracing you with this amazing music." i feel a little weird about my obsession, but it's whatev.
ps as i am writing this at the very bottom of the page where it usually says "update journal" it says "update captain's log". i'm assuming this is in honor of "talk like a pirate" day? pretty clever.
