Awesome weekend! :)

so i had a really fun weekend, which was much needed after three midterms. blah. Last weekend was fun too but with travelling it was stressful. This was a nice close to home, relaxing but fun weekend. Friday was mean girls and margaritas. Saturday i woke up early ish (considering the lack of sleep i had had the night before) and did laundry, read, relaxed, and then jess and I went to old orchard to try to get our free VS pink panties, but this VS was a non participating store. !! stupid. but they lured us in and we both bought some underwear (like you all needed to know that. :P hehe) and then we shopped around some more, i bought a shirt on sale at the limited, and then shopped more and then got food court food. It was such a gorgeous day despite the 10 day straight rain that had been predicted by weather.com. when we got back, we relaxed here a little, and then took a walk to the hallmark store to get wrapping paper/cards. then we were going to decorate murat's cake but were out of candles- so i ran to jewel to get candles, and then we decorated his cake as a blue and white soccer ball. A bit later, Cheryl came over with dave, to talk about apartment stuff for next year, and then we headed down to the firehouse grill for dinner. i called ahead to put our name on the list, and when we got there, they said they were cleaning off the table and it was almsot ready. over a half hour later we got seated. go figure. the food took forever to come. but whatever, it was a fun bunch of the usual suspects, so we had a good time anyway. Cheryl decided she wanted to drink and play cranium, so we ended up going back to our place and doing that. i guess we just have to have a cranium party every few months. :) Love that game! anyways, we did murat's cake then played. Murat got to pick the teams, and his team won- go figure. :P i was with matt and brian and we put forth a valiant effort. then murat left and we played again, this time pulling names out of a hat for teams, and i was reunited with steve who had previously been my permanent cranium teammate. we were also with jess and we didn't win. we also put forth a valiant effort though. I think the funniest part of the night was when steve was acting out leonardo dicaprio. He did "I'm the King of the World" Or whatever hte line is, said catch me if you can, i started my career on growing pains. and jess and i stared, dumbounded. everyone else in the room of course knew who he was talking about, and finally i got it. haha. they thought it was hysterical that neither of us knew. hehehe. other notables were hypertext and carborator. anyways, it was a really good time. :)
Today was absolutely gorgeous for most of the day. so warm, so pretty. I went to church and then walked home to enjoy the weather. Then I went to Goose Island Brewery with Matt, Dave, Tom, David, Cheryl and James. They brew their own beer, and they do a tour and tasting for $3. And you get a free pint glass that says Goose Island. !! So I figured, beer's not my favorite thing, but heck, i'll go! it has to be fun- lots of fun ppl and beer? hehehe. So we did the tour and saw the huge things they make beer in, learned a little about yeast, barley, hops and all. then they ahd 7 pitchers and little (4 oz?) cups ... i had half cups of all but two, and had an extra cup of my favorite one (hexanut, for those who care hehehe). Some people drank more than others, and were affected more and all, so we ordered some appetizers, and the whole event cost like 7 bucks plus train. not bad! then we headed back after a while, and discussed the ladder theory on the train. Being almost all guys, they confirmed for me that guys have only one. i think its weird. but i guess i can admit to having 2. its been a hot topic of conversation in our little group the last few days. any opinions?
Tonight i just watched Harry Potter on TV and now i'm just relaxing. its nice that i did NO WORK this weekend, but i had no work assigned so it was ok! :) Yay! Defintely one of the more fun weekends here that i've had in a while.
