overdue

So, since festival I've been home to Ft. Lauderdale to see my rents, found a new apartment (FYI - house-warming party come end of July!), and have officially become a corporate slave...yup...that's right...I started my management training today. So far its ridiculously easy, and I get to stay at my old store for 6 weeks until the Safety Harbor store is ready to open. Meanwhile, I've been making more jewelry in my spare time. My bad luck trying to sell at festival turned around about a week ago. Matt got a phone call from a couple we met at the farmer's market that sells shirts made out of spun bamboo (don't ask me how, they get them imported from China, it just looks and feels like high quality cotton), and they are opening a store in St. Pete this month. Matt had exchanged numbers at the market when he mentioned making jewelry out of bamboo, and they called as we were getting ready to go down to Lauderdale to see some of our stuff. Well, they spent about $350 on our jewelry! They pretty much wiped me out, hehe. So, hopefully our stuff will sell and meanwhile I've sunk my end of the profits into more pretty beads :). If all goes well we could be regular suppliers for these guys, which would rock. Anyway, the store is called "Shirts of Bamboo" at central and 24th(?)street in St. Pete, so everyone should go over there and ooh and aww over the jewelry, hehe.
Now, if you'll excuse me, my GM wants me to coordinate a food safety class for about 15 employees next week, so I've got to go be a good little trainee and work on that :p. More later....maybe...lol.
