Honestly. Would it be too difficult to go one day without it being blistering fucking hot?!

I need to find an apartment with working air conditioning. Or a working refrigerator. Or a fucking ice cube.

It is fairly miserable, isn't it. But I heard someone just cleaned out a swimming pool.

That sounds better than suffering by far. Planning to check it out yourself?

You'd like that, wouldn't you?

I love to swim. They'll have trouble keeping me away.

Do you expect me to deny that I would?

I'm not quite fond of the water, but if it's a choice between that and this sweltering weather...I can't exactly say no, can I?

Well, I guess I can't fault you. I think it's a shame when people hide their beautiful bodies.

Back home I have a four-story swimming pool in my home. It's too bad buildings can't fall into this place like people can.

You must be somewhat of a visual connoisseur. No wonder you appeared dressed as you were.

I either stay at the barracks or my flat where I'm from. When I first enlisted in the military I was given patrol duty in the Port section of Haven City. Some particularly rowdy individuals - typically drunk - were fond of barreling into the guards in an attempt to push us into the water. Our armor isn't exactly built for swimming. Call it an ungrounded fear.

To be fair, I own a women's boutique and design my own wares. But believe it or not I did have a reason for dressing like I did.

I suppose that makes sense.

Care to indulge a bored soul with your reasoning behind a skinsuit, dear?

The skinsuit is a sophistocated instrument designed to send physical signals including pulse, respiration, neural impulses and reflexes into my hardsuit. It has to be snug, like a second skin, or else the signals would be weak and the hardsuit wouldn't be able to move as efficiently.

Last thing I remember I was in my hardsuit at home. It must have gotten lost somehow in transit.

Fascinating. That sounds about ten times more efficient than my soldier's armor...

A pity we didn't have access to that technology during the war.

I don't like to brag, but I helped to invent it. I'm afraid I probably wouldn't have what I need in this time period. I'm already having trouble with these ancient computers.

My my, brains and beauty.

You'll have to tell me more about these hardsuits sometime. If I get back to my home - which I'm sure I will, eventually - I would like to put such an idea into practice.

Oh, you're flattering me.

I'll see what I can do with what we have.

It would be appreciated, and I am more than willing to help. Even if it is just as a hired hand.
