The rainy season in KL had finally subsided, or so I believed. And somehow life returned to normal, with those Indonesian relatives of mine have long gone back, I have the whole crib to myself again, and things are looking quite lovely. But I never know, would I?
Khuzai called on Saturday afternoon, informing me that the whole 'bachelor party' thing is on for the night. I drove from Puchong and met them at PJ Hilton for some live band stuffs. At around 12.30, we headed to PJ Old Town's Starkiss karaoke. Me, Khuzai, Yazid, Arul, Rizal and this another dude whom I can't recall his name were all there. We've got a girl for Khuzai, and a few of us decided to have them as well. Me and Azhar were too busy handling the karaoke to even think of getting one for ourselves. Suffice to say, we were all wasted except for Azhar and Amirul. I can't remember what happened. Khuzai got a lapdance from the girl, and the next thing I remembered, the both of them disappeared for a good whole 20 minutes. We don't blame him. The dude's getting married on the 6th of Jan at his house in Bangsar. And I have yet to meet his parents to say hello. Used to go to his house a lot during the old schooldays, so they knew me, and I them. The party could've been better, but since Khuzai isn't complaining about it, so we guesssed he had a blast. As for me, I had to push that whole 'stop-liquor-comsuming' oath till 2 days after this coming New Years Eve. After that, I'll stop. For good. I hope...
I was at Hartamas last Sunday with a cousin and her fiancee when someone tapped me on my shoulder. It was Zahariz. And I was shocked to see that Jonas @ Shaidar was with him. I knew him from this online game I used to play. That bastard! I had never actually thought that he would bring his Euro ass here all the way from Sweden! So anyway we chatted and he told me that he's looking for a pair of Copa Mundial boots. And I promised him that I'd fetched him from Zahariz's house and take him for a stroll in KL on Monday. True enough, I picked him up the next day, parked my car at Bangsar and took the LRT from there. Brought him to Pertama for the boots, and he bought the first Copa Mundial that we found. I tried explaining that we might get a better deal if we browsed though more stores,a but him being a stubborn mule, bought it straight, stating that no matter what the price might be, they're well much cheaper than the ones in Sweden. No arguments from my side on that one. We stopped for a while at this music shop where I always frequent. I bought a HIM album, and Jonas got himself a NOFX album. So we went back around 5 in the evening, and he asked whether I would join him in kicking a ball around a bit. Without thinking much, I obliged. So we went back to Zahariz's house, changed, and I drove him to Damansara's one and only soccer field, next to Damansara's mosque. Stupidly on my part, without any stretching or warming up, I just picked the ball and kickid it. I felt a sharp snap on my hips, but I thought it was nothing. Turned out that Jonas was a pretty good player himself, and he was FULL of fuckin stamina, while I of course, don't. So he practically put me through the paces, I panted and sweated like a motherfucker. It was getting kinda awkward to just kick the ball forth and back till a few others came. Eventually, we managed to form 10-a-side, and that was it. In the end, Jonas had a nasty blister on his right ankle due to the boots, and I have bloody cramps all over. I dropped him at Zahariz's house, I came back home all stiffed. Last night's sleep was terrible. He asked me to accompany him again today, but I had other plans and promised to join him tomorrow instead. Zahariz had asked me to bring him over to Bangsar since he himself does not drink. I have no problem with that. But I'm not sure if I'll bring him to Bangsar. That place's s'posed to be dead. Maybe this Thu I'll bring him there, and switch to Sunway at 2am. Kelvin agreed to join. So all is fine. I should ask him to email me the pics of us. I should be able to post them here. I think I remember how to. I'll inform him tomorrow.
I gathered a whole lot of things from my conversation with Jonas. Most of them are negative, but some of the positive aspects does sound like superb. Europe is okay then, I think. Which is why I avoided Sweden and other Scandinavian countries, and stick to Greenland.
And Arul agreed to join me on the Greenland thing. One thing he asked me to exclude from my offer promises; he doesn't want to die a broken man. I told him, 'Fine by me.'
I can die a broken man alone. No problem.
