Ugh. Me sore.

So we have a new house! Isn't that fantastic? All that extra space, that nice, big yard for Matthew to play in, separate bedrooms and living space, so that we don't have to share that with Matthew too...

Oh. Wait. We have to finish getting rid of all the really awful stuff the previous owners put in their house and clean the place to our standards before we can move in. We can't move Matthew into a house that's under renovation. We have to get a bazillion little things that we didn't think about while we were making lists of all the things we'd need in a new house, and then we have to do the renovations. Tile a room. Move curtain rods and fixtures. Touch up paint. Rip out wallpaper that's been there since the house was built. Put up chandeliers and ceiling fan bits. Paint. Put up new wallpaper. Move furniture about. Go up and down ladders over and over again, twisting backs to make sure the sanding and finishing is complete. Take a break while the stuff is drying, and go do the "easy" task of playing with the kiddo in the yard. Fish a rock out of his mouth that he shouldn't have put there in the first place. Keep him from wandering into the attractive nuisance also known as a "pond feature."(Also known as an algae filled plastic hole)

THEN we get to pack up our lives here and move them there, so that we can spend the next few weeks trying to settle our lives somewhere new.

Yay! Extra Space! Big Yard! Advil! More Advil!

I guess you could say I'm legitimately tired.... :)
