My internet is working again, PRAISE JAYSUS. I haven't been able to do my AIM Lent thing because the net's crapaliciousness. I haven't been able to check my mail.
More importantly, I know the same thing is on everyone's minds, but consider this one more mind chiming in. I've been keeping up with coverage of the Japan earthquake and resulting disasters. I'm glad to report all my friends, acquaintances and beloved people from the area are okay.
Here are some resources, if you're not sure yet?
01.
Click here or text REDCROSS to 90999 to instantly donate $10. Don't want to use Red Cross?
02. There's
World Vision,
GlobalGiving, or
AmeriCare or ...
03. Find a charity suited to you, at
Charity Navigator. (It provides ratings and reviews of charities.)
04. Google has a
person finder and
Crisis Response Center.
05. And one question: does anyone know of an Auction or Help community yet for Japan? I can always raise more money than I would be able to donate (most of these sites min. donations are more than I have, but I can usually raise 4-6 times the amount I could donate through an auction so ...)
I'm not religious, but I'm praying (sending good vibes?) for those of you who have family or friends in the areas affected. I hope everyone can find their loved ones safely. ♥
