California knows how to.... not be cold
Cali's going well so far. We're staying at the Residence Inn in Santa Clarita and working out in Simi Valley. It's about 1/2 hour drive between the two, but traffic's been tolerable and the view is very nice.
On the upside, the hotel has a kitchenette, and serves free breakfast and dinner so most of my meals are taken care of. On the downside, it's 1 bedroom with a pull-out sofa in the living room and I'm sharing the room with someone. Guess who got the sofa? It's not bad, but by the end of next week I'm sure I'll be feeling it.
My only other bitch about the hotel is that they have some crazy bandwidth cap. I just found out today (after asking) that the reason my internet kept getting shut down was due to "excessive use". All I want to do is download the new BSG episodes!!!!
As far as the job itself goes, it's a piece of cake. Right now we're ahead of schedule, and I'm hoping that we stay that way. It doesn't mean I'll get home early, just that we'll be able to go above and beyond and make ourselves look that much better.
Also, I just found out that the general manager from the midtown Manhattan store called my bosses boss. I guess they're getting another special project and he was checking if my team would be available to come out and do it.
Also, directed to those in California, or who have been: Is PERVERSION worth going to? I can really only go out Thurs-Sat nights and I'm looking for something to bring some of the guys from work to. And on the 23rd DJ Batty is @ Das Bunker. Is she worth going to see? Or should I go out despite her being there?
I just want to do something *somewhat* scene-related while I'm out here.....
Well, regardless, we're going to Six Flags on Saturday so that should be fun. Though I do miss Christina a lot. We've become so close and she's so great. She even got me an Uglydoll as a present before I left:
