Computer type question for those with smarts

Dec 04, 2006 20:00

Is there anyway to adjust some settings on my computer so I can burn CDs AND listen to MP3s/stream audio/internet radio/whatever at the same time. I'm on a 1.66Ghz Centrino Dou with 1GB of RAM if that helps anyone....

There is no reason you shouldn't be able to do that already. What leads you to believe that you can't?

1) What apps are you using to do this?

2) What type of file are you burning the CDs from?

2) I'm burning audio CDs from MP3 files

I'm surprised it doesn't just work already. I bet that Nero is using so much CPU while decoding the files that it's causing Winamp to lag a bit. Try running Task Manager (right click the Taskbar to access it easily) while doing the burn and see how much load there is.

Also, if you are using a visualizer in Winamp, try turning that off. I bet the visualizer is taking a bunch of CPU.
