And now for something completely different........

Well, no, actually, but how and so ever :-)

Wasn't in the office yesterday - management training course, module two. It was actually quite interesting, and I definitely feel I learned something from it. Several things, actually. However, what was interesting was the section on report writing - which I almost co-presented with the course teacher. He asked at the start of teh section how much experience any of us had writing reports and other douments (there were only 3 of us), and the other two guys said they had none. Then he asked me how I set about writing reports, and after I told him, he said I'd almost quoted the rest of the section!! So I was able to offer advice to the other two guys on the course, which was kinda neat :-)

I got the Luas into town, so I was treated to walking across town during rush hour, both in the morning and the evening. I am so glad I don;t have to drive through that - people are just so bloody ignorant, and incredibly stupid. Walking across Tara street bridge, and the lights on the northside of the bridge go red. A van driver dashes through the lights as they're on the turn when he can clearly see that he won't clear the yellow box. He then sits there like a complete plank, blocking all of the traffic trying to get down the quays, and shrugging as if it's not his fault, and sure, what can he do!! I was hoping against hope that a large, god-like hand would reach down and pick him up (anyone else remember those ads?) - I would have paid good money to see that!!

Finally, the answers to the lyrics guessing game:

2) "Many a fat alley rat had met it's demise while staring point blank down the cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine." - Primus, 'Tommy the Cat'. Some of the best bass playing ever
3) "It's like putting pearls on swine - you can dress up a pig, but it's still a pig, isn't it?" Rollins Band, 'Thinking Cap'. jayphoenix got the band, but not the song.
4) "You take the midnight subway train, you're calling all the shots" Ratt, 'You're in Love'. US 80's hair rock at it's best :-)
5) "I've got a 68 Chevvy with pipes on the side" Saxon, 'Wheels of Steel'
8) "Who are you gonna live your life for? Conformity will trap you like a locked door" Anthrax, 'A.I.R.'. 'Spreading the Disease' is still one of the finest albums ever made IMO.
10) "Ain't a hope in hell, nothing's gonna bring us down, the way we fly, five miles off the ground" Motorhead, 'Bomber'. Again, jayphoenix got the band, but not the song.
