Booze and Kitty food
For the penny pincher in all of us:
PetSmart has $5 off coupons on the $7 size of Purina One cat food. They're part of the packaging, so you have to buy the first one at normal price. We have 5 cats and thats what they eat, you can imagine we're hitting up PetSmart.
I was shopping for rum at Ralphs (Kroger) the other day and noticed that the 1.75 liter bottle was only $1 more than the 1 liter bottle. The kicker was that was the price on sale: usually the 1.75 liter bottle costs $20 and the 1 liter bottle costs $21. And both were glass bottles.
The only logic I could think of was that 1.75 liters is a hell of a lot of rum, and it's a pain to have a bottle that size (I filled up the old 1 liter bottle I had...same brand and everything.)
At the rate Joanie and I drink, 1.75 liters is a lifetime supply for two.
