First real update in a very long time. It's gonna be weird getting back into the swing of things, but hopefully I'm not the only one still using LJ, besides Jesska.
Friday night I went to a coworker's house for a party. I was only there about an hour, and in that hour I had 3 shots of rum, chased by rum & coke, and three rum & cokes which contained two shots each. That's 9 shots in less than one hour. I drank way too much, way too fast, and I paid for it for 24 hours. I threw up at least 12 times from the time I got home until I finally could fall asleep Saturday. And when I did fall asleep, I was out. I slept from 4am Saturday to 2pm Sunday, with maybe two hours of waking time in between. I actually had to miss work because I was so sick. I never want to deal with that kind of sickness again.
So, I have pretty much decided I am not going to drink alcohol anymore. At least not for a very, very long time. Maybe not even until my 21st birthday. Just thinking about it makes me want to get sick again. It's not worth it, I can have fun without it.
Today, I spent my day trying to get rid of this headache I have had since I was drunk. It's almost gone, but it's still rather annoying. If I turn on the television or any music, I think it will come back. I'm thinking I should just go to bed.
I'm pretty broke until payday (October 10th), and it really sucks. But it's worth it. I wrote a check to Stephany for $260 for my round trip plane ticket. And I have to give my mom $160 for rent. Leaving me with about $20 for two weeks. Thankfully I get paid the day I leave for Chicago. I'm staying there with my friend Maree on the 10th, 11th and 12th. I'll be attending Riot Fest, seeing The Horrorpops, and vising my dear Anthony King :].
Oh yes, I guess I forgot to mention. Stormi and I are going on a trip in January with her cousin Stephany. January 28th we will be flying from Indy to Las Vegas. We'll stay there for two nights, then get a rental car and road trip down to Hollywood / LA. We'll stay in California until February 4th, then we'll fly from LAX to Denver, Colorado for a layover. In the middle of winter. And they are known for killer snowstorms and avalanches. Let's hope we don't die there. But I'm pretty excited for that too, for photo ops. Assuming there won't be any delays, we will then fly home from Denver. I am beyond excited for this trip. I cannot wait to feel the Arizona sun rest upon my skin. I cannot wait to see my first desert sunrise and sunset. And I'm very happy it'll be with Stormi, because I love that girl <3
