Without going into spoilery territory... I was rather, um, worried, beforehand, to say the least. Matt Smith hadn't wowed me in anything I'd seen before, including the bit in the end of the last season. And he's too young. And all that.
But... well.... I liked it. Quite a bit, really. Like the new companion too, so far. Of course, this being a regeneration episode, it's hard to know yet just what direction the new Doctor will settle in, but so far, so good. (Although I doubt he's going to be my favourite Doctor. Far too young.)
Not too keen on the new title sequence yet, or the new version of the title music, but perhaps it'll grow on me. I suppose Nine's and Ten's just felt so much more exciting that this came off as a bit dull in comparison, instead of just back to normal.
