Movie Review - Star Trek: Into Darkness

First, the non-spoiler review - so much squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Now, the spoilery review. Do not read until you have seen the movie. Seriously. It is so much better going in not spoiled.

I will admit that I was a little iffy at first about a certain scene toward the end of the movie that involved Kirk and Spock. But then we got emotional Spock, followed by angry Spock, followed then by BAMF Spock. And let me say, I'm in love with BAMF Spock. We need more BAMF Spock and then Uhura coming in to save the day. It made me all kinds of happy :D (at one point I was all "That's it, Spock, you neck pinch the crap out of him!")

And there was so much else to love, especially how everyone got their moment in the sun. We got more McCoy, Uhura using her mad language skills, Scotty being in the right place at the right time to save the day, a tribble, Klingons, and I think the new Khan could totally kick the old Khan's butt. I was never a fan of the old Khan as an arch nemesis because he and his crew always made me think of an eighties rock band on the verge of singing a monster ballad, and he seemed more annoying than an actual threat. But Benedict was friggin' awesome as Kahn. Which was such a pleasant surprise since I kind of, sort of did have my doubts about him being such a kick-butt villain but he totally nailed the part. The man as superb.

Anyway, long review short - I wuv this movie!
