And then i see sakura_no_kage post the following and the musician in me found them simply too cute to ignore... so i kope and to be reposted here!
A musical joke, by J.F. Rowbotham, 1908 - whereby he wrote to his friend an invitation to lunch!
(explanation: "One sharp. Beef & Cabbage")
And his friend wrote an equally witty reply:
(explanation: "Not a bad feed. Naturally ["natural-E"] I will be in time.")
...Rowbotham also wrote the following message to a vain lady:
(explanation:
"Your face will fade with age
Be not deaf to the adage I beg")
Best thing about these 3 musical messages is the melody plays out nice and smooth! XDDD
