Since I have had two weeks payment, and a final grant from the Job Centre, I went into town to get a couple of trousers and shirts. I registered with Kate and Co on Friday and they mentioned some place at the Aston Science Park. They told me they may ring me within the next week (this week). They rang me in the afternoon. Another lot of post, and still no cheque. Where is it, has the buyer even sent it? The only post for me was some vacancies my Job Centre sent me. By Friday evening it will be a week since the buyer "bought" it.

Went to Solihull this morning to see my new Pertemps advisor Terry at 10am (he thought 12.30pm - Karen def set me for 10). Between that and my 11.40 signing on at the Job Centre, I got a few pairs of new shorts for £22 each on my debit card (using chip-and-pin of course). Filled in the Rapid Reclaim form this morning. Called for an appointment. Went in for 1.30pm. I'm now back on the JSA. I showed my passport as ID. Next time I go to the Job Centre I will give them my P45's back (the one from going off for Options and the one for going off for the Rome holiday).

About 8 days left til I go on holiday. Meanwhile it is really hot here in the West Midlands. World Cup fever is everywhere. Didn't get to see much of the England game yesterday (saw bits and pieces of it) - had family over ( Read more... )

In preparation for tomorrow, spent most of the afternoon filling in the JSA 1 forms. Might take that P45 that I got when JSA ended at the end of July '05 (before I went on to options).

For some reason I have to make a new JSA claim when I see my New Deal Job Centre advisor Tracey.
