Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Saw it this afternoon on my own.
It was amazing, better than the first one. It even felt better than last weeks Terminator Salvation.
The screen I was in was packed. Think it was on at least 6 screens or more!
Even though it was a 12A, I don't think it was suitable for children especially with the sex references.
Obama is President in this (meaning the first movies "ding dong" President was Bush). We don't see him, but he is referenced. Prob explains why Defence Secretary John Keller isn't in it (John Voight).
That former Sector 7 guy now works in a butchers (at least I think it was a butchers)
There was loads of Transformers, mostly evil Decepticons.
They bring Megatron back from the dead.
They kill Optimus Prime. But later bring him back with the key (shortly after Sam goes unconscious and gets revived by the silver dust).
Only the two main soldiers from the first movie come back.
Sam trys to start college, but the events of the film means he isn't there for long.
The pink motorbike RC is in the film, but she is well under used. More in use is the twins (with buck teeth).
It's a global movie going from China, to Egypt to Jordan.
They go to Petra in Jordan, where that temple in the crescent is (used in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 20 years ago). A tomb of the previous Primes is inside it with the key.
Hidden in a pyramid is a weapon that can be fired at the sun to get energon.
Sam's dorm room has a Bad Boys II poster on the wall.
Matthew Marsden is in the film (he was also in Resident Evil: Extinction and Rambo)
Mikaela's dad is out of prison and fixing bikes / cars.
I don't know why, but the guy playing the college lecturer looked vaguely familiar from something else.
