The old printer / scanner all-in-one has had it
I was just scanning in more photos, when the scanner crashed again. I killed the software. But it wouldn't work anymore. Tried reinstalling software. No good. Pulled USB cable in and out- it says device not recognised - it has malfunctioned. Damn and I hadn't finished scanning (maybe I can digital photo the last few photos I wanted to copy).
We've had it since Autumn 2001. I have in the past reinstalled the software without a problem. I'm without a printer until I get a new one or get this dead one working (unlikely).
Looking at Comet.co.uk it looks like the new printer scanner photo things are quite cheap (around £50).
edit: I think I reinstalled the old printer using the "add a Printer wizard". Dunno if it worked yet. - yeah printer works. Scanner must be the thing that is faulty then.
