Stories

Thanks to someone I'm following on Twitter, I got to know this really spectacular artist, Anastassia Elias, who tells her stories by creating silhouettes or scenes inside the cardboard rolls of toilet papers. He christened them "Toilet Paper Stories". It could not be more apt than that!

Anastassia explains how she does it: I cut small paper silhouettes I then glue inside the toilet paper roll. I use tweezers to do so. I use the paper the same color as the roller. It gives an illusion that the small paper figures are part of the roll. (Translated from the French)
I guess it is like trying to build a ship inside a clear glass bottle. No matter. What she did here was nothing less than AMAZING :)

More in her portfolio here.
