I find it interesting to see what the party staff are like at my local polling place.
Today, the ALP were almost invisible. There were some folks who reminded me of Statler and Waldorf, perched on some steps in a corner above a Family First banner. The Libs and the Greens both had perky, friendly young women engaging the public and actively promoting their parties.
If any last-minute decisions are based on the personalities and enthusiasm of those giving out the how-to-vote cards, the Libs and Greens should do well in my area. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the last time the ALP looked so useless here was in the first state election which brought Kennett to power.
