Okay, so, now that I've gotten April Fools crap out of the way... I'm soooo kinda tired, but it's cool, I had a good time yesterday.
So, My friend Sean spent the night a my place the day before the tourney. I wake up, shower, and we end up going to sonic and eat with Dan for a little bit. Afterwards, around 11:20, we leave sonic to go to the Arcade. I get in there and no one is there yet. I get a call from Si and he tells me he's outside and needs help unloading drinks and such. Unload stuff, get inside and JonZ shows up. Crap, 1/2 chance of winning 1st. Oh well.
So, we start doing prelims or whatever when everyone shows up... The song everyone does is Healing Vision: Angelic Mix. Light/Standard people play light, Standard/Heavy people play standard. I ended up getting 17 greats, 1 good. This guy Justin got 18 greats. Guy from Houston, Graham got 11 greats, JonZ got 7 greats. I could've done better, I was just having an off time...
Basically, Graham, Justin, and JonZ were my only competition. After prelims and such, Dan, Brandon, and Lauren showed up to watch and chill. I was really glad to see them, especially Lauren :). So, eventually, I'm playing against JonZ... I had to pick a song, he picked the difficulty. I picked Stoic because we had a small kind of competition going on to see who could AAA it first. When I first met Jon, he could get 3 greats, and I could get like 15 or 20. I finally AAA'd it and he hasn't yet. So, we're playing, and he messed up in the middle a bit. I got 5 greats, he got 8 greats and like 2 goods or osmething. I won that round. Now JZ picks the song and I pick the difficulty... Unfortunately for me, he picks L'amour Et al Liberte or whatever it is... and I stupidly pick heavy, so therefore I basically gave him the win, because he has a better PA on the songs with weirder Rhythms. I had like 40 greats, he had about 17... So, I lose my chance for first or 2nd place. I have a shot at third though. Soooo I face Justin who was Reaaallly good... (3 greats on Daikenkai Heavy (a.k.a. "Des-ROW" to some of the silly Tilt Regulars... pfft)) and the first song he chooses is Dance Dance Revolution, and I move it to challenge, but he guilt trips me to put it back on heavy... He had like 7 greats, 20 for me. Then I pick Rhythm and Police (Good call on my part)... I get 7 greats and he gets like 20ish... We Tie by having the same number of Perfects and greats, haha. So, for tie breaker, we hit random, and we got some crap ass song that I don't remember at the moment, and he beat me. So, I got 4th. Justin got 3rd, JonZ got 2nd, and Graham got 1st. Congrats to them :)
So, hung out with my friends for a lil bit, then eventually went with Dan to Alex's place for a BBQ... Hoo Boy....
Basically, they got me to drink enough Alcohol to become Tipsy... not Drunk, but tipsy... (I had a lot to eat there too... two bowls of stir fry... a couple of muffins... nearly two freaking huge hamburgers). It wasn't until late though that I got that way though. It was definitely interesting, it felt like I had been up for a day and a half or soemthing... You know how you get when you're really tired and kinda rock around a little bit because you have trouble supporting your own body? That's what I was like, but I could still think Decently... my balance was slightly impaired, but I could perform the FST (Field Sobriety Test) that cops perform on the road, so I wasn't too horrid... you can ask Madeline, I called her around 12am-ish because I missed her and I had not been talking to her too much lately. Anyways, they also coerced me into trying Hookah, which is basically smoking flavored tobacco. It was Raspberry and Mint flavor mixed. I was trying to figure out how to blow hoops like Dan can. Oh well. We had a great time, and it was fun! If I can get dan to send pictures, maybe I'll post them.
I guess I'm a bad boy now or something, lol. But, as I thought someone said (although I might be completely wrong), you need to try everything at least once... I still don't believe that completely, but there are a few things I don't mind. As long as I drink with close friends that I know will take care of me, then it's fine... Oh, btw, the people I were with... it was Dan, Alex, 'Flo', Marcus, and IC? (his name is Sebastian but he went by IC or something like that)... Alex, Flo, Marcus and IC are German :P so yeah, lots of drinking, haha. I love these people to Death, but unfortunately, they're leaving in June and I don't know if they'll be back :(
Anyways, that was the Gist of my day, I left out a couple things here and there, but yeah, don't feel like typing anymore so just hit me up or leave a comment... Or don't do any of that, it doesn't matter that much. Anyways, take care everyone.
