seattle? flooding?? no wai.

oh, but YES wai!!

here's something magical that happened to me this weekend: I stepped in two puddles that were so deep, my entire foot was submerged in a whole freegin' pool of water. one of them was, serious to gawd, like a miniature lake. it was at southcenter mall, which has a parking lot under construction- a parking lot without drains, it seems- and my poor mum and I walked unsuspecting into this puddle, no, this VAST OCEAN of water, to the point where our pants were wet halfway to our knees. DAMN!!

the news is splashed (no pun intended[?]) with flood watch headlines, power outage reports and warnings, emergency tips to find higher ground and unplug electrical appliances, etcetera. oh yay. guess I won't be going to the gym tomorrow, either.

this weekend, I did something I didn't really imagine myself doing- I bought ugg boots. yes, I did. I bought the cursed UGH boots that I disdained so much last year. but, I had this thing happen to me recently- I moved back home, where we actually have seasons, which happen to include (GASP!) cold weather. and my sneakers weren't keeping my kreeton tootsies warm enough. and I thought, oh woe, are there really no lovely and warm and snuggly shoes to keep mine toesies warm and dry? and then it hit me: boots. ugg boots. or even just fuzzy boots. because- and this is the part I forgot- they weren't actually designed with the intent that stick-thin girls would wear them with denim miniskirts in los angeles, but rather, for the practical and cute purposes of footwear!! and once I wrapped my brain around their usefulness, and realized that I would NEVER commit such a crime of fashion as I've seen the LA sorority girls display, I bit into them. and I loves them ohhhhhhsooooomuchhhh.

I, kreeton vuluptua kristonia preusser the first, hereby pledge on my yet to be filled grave and humorously lighthearted tombstone inscription that I will never wear ugg boots with a short skirt. that I will sign my name to in blood, or even nesquik.

I'm learning a song in japanese. it's the song the women sing in "princess mononoke" while...pushing foot bellows, I guess. though I don't quite know what those are. but, the song is oh so lovely, and I just had to teach myself the words.

hitotsu futatsu wa, akago mo fumuga mittsu yottsu wa
oni mo naku naku, tatara onna wa kogane no nasake
tokete nagarerya, yaiba ni kawaru.

ahhhh.... pretty.

how excited am I to see the blue scholars on november 22? OMGI'MSOEXCITED. wheeeeee!!!

anime, songs, clothes, rain, seattle
