okay! that previous entry was getting a little lengthy. I wouldn't wanna induce pleasure overloads, now.

so...onward with the photos! dial-up users be warned.

pretty!!

detail of the shade:

detail of the lamp:

a closer view of one of the lamp's mother of pearl women:

here it is from the front (it's about 1.25 feet tall):

detail of the front doors:

the view of the top, which is its own drawer:

inside the top drawer is red silk fabric with a pattern, and a music box that plays, oddly enough, the "love story" theme:

open up the front doors, and you'll see 3 hidden drawers (the front doors and the top drawer can be locked with an included lock and key):

and finally, the view of the back of the box:

this is a tree that's in my front yard, by my driveway. it's never been such bright colors before!

my front yard and driveway area.

these photos are all from the end of october, and were taken from my deck at the back of the house. the island across puget sound is vashon island.

there you have it! loveliness all around.

I have to go to the vet tomorrow to pick up medicine for sami; as luck may have it, I think I'll have to get medicine of my own sometime this week. last night, after we came back from dinner, I had the most unimaginable stomach pain. it knocked me out for the night. I had to take an oxycodone to tolerate the pain. I hate, HATE taking oxycodone- I think I need to call dr. patterson tomorrow and ask for percocet. or, if the pain persists, I'll need to go in this week. I still have pain today, and more than noticeable discomfort; I could very well be going to the doctor this week. stupid colitis. plus, I'm pretty certain I have a cold- lots of sneezing lately, and a sore throat every morning and night. drippy sinuses, too. now I know for sure that the weather has turned... as if tonight's 42-degree temps weren't proof enough!

ah well, though. this week sure is getting off to a nice enough start. :)
