back in the saddle of seattle and doin' awesome
hooray hooray HOORAY for being home. oh man did I need this.
here is a listing so far of the awesomeness that my awesome hometown, family and friends have bestowed upon me so far... awesome!!!
1. my brand new (used) PRELUDE!!! it's red and sexy and ALLLLLLL MINE. I drove it on thursday night when I got home and I got *this* close to creaming my jeans. it drives like sex. it turns corners so easily. the system is bumpin. it goes faster than any other car I've ever driven. the one catch was that it needs a new carberator (I can't even spell it), but it's getting fixed on tuesday, and then it'll be perfect.
I decided that its name shall be bandit.
2. got a remicade infusion yesterday in the way pimped out brand new infusion center at virginia mason.
3. I got my first birthday presents! rah! mom got me a lot of clothes... skirts and tanktops mostly. and I also go the incredibles on dvd.
4. CAKE!!! pink frosting, "happy 21st kristen" written on it, and a thin layer of strawberry filling. yum.
5. I hung out with rachael and maria last night!! we went to a mexican restaurant on alki and to toys in babeland, because rachael got me a gift card there (oh my). it was very awesome. I wish I got to see more of those girls. (by the way, anyone up for hanging out? after wednesday I can pick you up... hehe....)
6. I bought my first drink!! I ordered a strawberry daiquiri at dinner last night. it was WAY too strong, though...and rachael ended up drinking it. it kinda messed her up a little... with hilarious results.
7. I went shopping with mommy today. :> I got 2 new manga from suncoast because it's triple replay points weekend.
8. dinner at red robin tonight with mom!! my tummy is still happy and full from it.
9. my bed is the most comfortable thing in all of comfyness. I love when I come home because my mom washes my bedding so it's all fluffy and clean and lovely for me. my bed is WAY more comfy than any bed I've slept in in cali, because it's so large and fluffy and downy and I always have pillows surrounding my head.

11. I got to choose pizza on the night I came back.
although, there have also been some downsides, too...
-12. last night dad went back to the emergency room. he was having a lot of pain in his stomach, and at 3 am mom took him to the hospital. he was given a cat scan and 3 bags of fluid (he was that dehydrated) and was diagnosed with kidney stones again. dad just had a bunch of stone surgery as late as november, so mom and I are beside ourselves that they're still causing trouble. he seems to be a lot better today.

I talked to my sister, and a child in one of her classes got shot this week. actually, the boy was in another teacher's class, but the teacher is kate's friend. the boy was 9-years old and got caught in a scene of people shooting each other back and forth while sitting in his family's van. she went to the service and she and her friend were interviewed on the news. I'm worried about my sister in philadelphia... it's so dangerous there. I feel so horrible for that boy's family.
-14. it's been raining today. I got my fill of rain in california, believe it or not... I want some damn sun when I'm home please!!!
-15. I haven't spoken to austin since I've been back. I know he's in vegas this weekend (not misbehaving like last time, don't worry).... but I've tried calling him, and I miss him, but he hasn't called, nor has he made a conscious effort to contact me, and that makes me angry and hurt.
but, I'm enjoying myself... I'm finding that I really, REALLY don't want to go back to cali anytime soon except to be with austin. I want to stay with my car and my town and family and friends and big fluffy bed and familiar territory. and best part is, I feel well... and I finally get to celebrate my birthday after being sick with strep all last weekend. and I'm happy. I can say now, that while I'm here at home, and especially with bandit in the driveway and all the security he offers me, that I am happy.
