bombs away
so, yes.
as some of you may know, there was a lockdown at lmu today, due to the fact that 2 bombs from world war 2 were found near campus by a construction crew.
(and yes, REALLY.)
got an email this morning saying that classes had been cancelled until 1... then it was 7...then it was cancelled all day and maybe tomorrow, too. all the dorms on the other side of campus and uhall were evacuated. all the people in rains, mccarthy, and the leavey dorms were told they weren't allowed in their rooms until 7, then they were told they weren't going to be able to even be back in by tomorrow. people knocked on the non-evacuated dorms' doors, asking if we had couches to lend out to "the homeless."
helicopters were flying around at one point, and there were more cops than you could shake a stick at. it was insane, but through the whole thing, I never even had to leave my room. everything's fine now... the bombs were dead and too old to go off.
jeebus.
tomorrow night is the film premiere I've been waiting for over the last few months... the screening for karl's new movie, "I am stamos," and brad's new short, "saving virgil"! I'm so excited. austin's going to be my date and we're going to go rub elbows with the hollywood peoples and make nice. I can't wait to meet brad... doubt I'll get to have the conversation with him that I want to, but still, I gotta start dropping my name.
mollie and I have been emailing lately, and that delights me like no other. I love my molliebird.
