I'm listening to BBC Radio 1 right now. It's the only place to get some good rolling' drum n' bass like I rocked out to in Exeter. Sure, Eminem can out battle anyone, and Twister can rap amazingly fast, but seriously, listen to a drum and bass mc freestyle. Insane.
Last night I went to a party in a double wide trailer. That was fun. As my friends and I say, "it was real 'neck in there" Obviously the apostrophe represents a missing "red" from that word. I made some friends while I was there. Meeting rednecks is a lot like meeting anyone else, but instead of asking what school they go to you just ask where they work, then if they've gotten any contracts yet. I was wearing camoflauge shorts and a pink lacoste shirt. The redneck men told me they liked me because I had the guts to wear that outfit. I hadn't even thought of it as something that would take any effort to wear, but I guess that's why I don't live in a trailer. I talked to a guy who builds above ground pools and he was calling my friends and I out for having money, but I talked him down and he told me I was the only one at the party who was making sense.
The other day my friend John and I were driving around suburban Charlotte in his lifted Wrangler listening to the fourteen minute live Freebird as loud as we could. Those are the days I like being home. I've been working on two mix cds for people. One is for the girl I don't have anything in common with. I'm getting dangerously close to putting all my eggs in that basket. I'll probably get scrambled. Get it, get it - scrambled?
