MIA from LJ
I have been MIA from LJ for way to long! But sometimes life just gets in the way. I go through phases of wanting to be on the computer and phases of not wanting to turn the computer on at all. And much as I love being online, in all honesty, I don't feel like I'm missing a lot by staying unplugged. (Except for falling way behind on all of my friends blogs of course!)
You know, there's this amazing invention called "Books". You hold them in your hand, and you turn these things called "pages", while reading these things called "words". :) I've been doing an in depth Bible study on the book of Hebrews which involves a lot of homework and focus. And I'm reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians 'The Lighting Thief'.
I've been sick for 19 days now. Just took my last antibiotic today, so I'm hoping that will kick it in the backside. I was really starting to think I had pneumonia. Even with the antibiotics, I'm still hacking and gunky and stuffy, so we'll see. I just want to feel human again. Sometimes I wonder if God slows me down like that on purpose so I can just pause and reflect for a while.
Tonight I'm enjoying being in my jammies, watching the Olympics, and dog sitting. My friend's schnauzer "Basil" is lying on my floor, stretched out on his side in complete contentment. Too cute. It will be nice to have some human interaction at church tomorrow. Being sick for so long means not doing any extra curricular activities so I've felt pretty secluded and cut off from social interaction. Well, that's all for tonight.
