"It is finished."
"The strife is over."
"The fat lady has sung."
"The load has been blown."
The NewsHawk is done, and will be sent to the printer tomorrow. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Have you ever finished something and seriously felt the burden lifted off of your back? I feel like 2 inches taller now.
That's all for now, except that I felt like a dork going to school. I ended up skipping 3rd, 6th and 8th though and just working on the newspaper. I don't think they missed me. For 5th period I had a doctors appointment with Dr. Taco Bell. He's giving me some medicine (read: mexican pizzas) to help my senioritis. It's apparently chronic now. On my way back into the building, I still had my taco bell cup and was walking down the hallway. I had just gotten to the newspaper door when Mr. Cotter (principal) was walking towards me heading the opposite way.
Me: Hi Mr. Cotter
Bob: Hi Matt. Nice drink you have there, mind if I have a sip?
Me: Uh... sure?
Bob: Oh thanks.
Bob takes my cup, and throws it against the lockers, then removes a shotgun from his back pocket and proceeds to shoot me in the legs
Bob: Damn seniors.
Oh, well maybe it didn't happen quite like that...
Me: Hi Mr. Cotter
Bob: Hey Matt, how's it going? *looks down at the cup, looks up at me, snickers*
Me: Good. A bit thirsty *knowing that he's seen the cup, I lift it as if lifting a mug of beer to say cheers*
Bob: Ah. Good good.
*walks away*
I think the first one was more exciting, anyway.
Have a good Monday (ha).
Matt
