Okay, so yesturday I went and saw the Interpreter with elizabeth and annie and i really liked it. And when we were walking back to the car annie was telling us about this guy, Dan Eldon who was a photographer in Africa.
Basically on a trip to Africa, Dan Eldon went to Somalia and was the first person to document the devastation. Within months, the International Red Cross determined that one-fourth of 6 million Somalis were starving. On August 28, the United States began delivering emergency food supplies to the nation all because of Dan Eldon's photographs. After saving lives and continuing to document the starvation in Africa, Dan Eldon, 22, was stoned to death by a mob of more then 100 people they day that he was supposed to go home.
The only reason i'm saying this is because he did such an amazing thing and you can look online to see all of his journals and photographs. it just kindof put things into perspective. so yeah...i guess thanks for telling me annie.
