Contemplating a weaving project, but I was hoping I might get some help with a few thoughts.
Weaving is often not as considered as high art but seen as a craft. It is a minimized skill. I was thinking it would be interesting to do a series of weaving's that deal with other minimalism, or marginalized--as Jim corrected me--things in life.
Using a medium that is not as considered for things that people tend to want to over look in life all around them. I've been trying to think of things that are less obvious then say: abuse, racism, homosexuality or things like that. Something that is more quiet I suppose.
Any thoughts? Someone suggested: poverty, there was another one but I don't remember it off the top of my head. Anyway any thoughts you have would be appreciated. :) *poofs out*
