this confuses me. how do they presume to know that god didn't make gay people gay? this really seems like a pro-gay argument.
anyways, alot of people (myself extremely included...if i can misuse an adverb) are upset by some protesters that decided to ruin my school's track record of tolerance and acceptance.
and really, myranda's point (actually, it was her friends point) was that just a few years ago, a boy killed himself because he felt that it was not okay to come out as gay just makes this all the more unbelievably terrible and saddening.
this is what the day of silence is about. this is what the protesters seem to promote--hate that can drive individuals to take their own lives.
and i'm not christian, or religious, but did i get the false impression somewhere that jesus was about forgiveness, not hate?
