Pride of Aloha

May 15, 2006 17:43

So the last month has been nothing short of a wild ride.

But I'm alive... a little windblown and whiplashed.

Here's a quick recap of the last 4 weeks.

As you know I left out of Oklahoma on the 17th of April and headed to a teeny tiny town in Piney Point, MD to spend 3 weeks on a base used to train for the Seafarer's International Union. We weren't allowed to leave the base the whole time with the exception of a trip to Target the week we graduated. It was actually quite humorous to see people freaking out and bouncing off the walls for an hour off the base.

Last thursday I got sent out with about 40 other people from our ship to the pride of aloha which is currently in dry dock in San Fransisco CA. We are supposed to leave out on wednesday for Hawaii but it all depends on if the propeller is finished and if the contractors are finished with their repairs. So far the last 3 days I've gone into the city to shop and have fun.

I'm here with lots of good friends that I made at Piney Point and we are expecting TONS more tomorrow. Can't wait.

I miss everyone so much already... just 5 more months and I'll be home.

I've taken tons of pictures and I will post them soon... I dont have the time right now.

ALSO- I have a new cell phone. I will try to call all of you or email all of you to get it out.

I now have internet access readily available so ... email me!

**hugs to EVERYONE**
