I just attempted to give advice on a staycation but I don't really feel qualified right now. I've been AWOL from here for a while except for the infrequent birthday greetings. I apologize for my absence. I don't have cheery news or fabulous pictures of some new place to post. I'm not going anywhere either. Well, nowhere uplifting or cheery. See, my mom passed away last week and we just returned from a hurried trip to Atlanta, GA for her memorial. It was just some of the family and a couple of her local friends. We won't be able to be there when she is put in t ground next to dad because of our home state is still very much in the RED zone. It doesn't seem right but at least a number of the children, grandchildren and great-grandchild were able to get together in person or through a video chat session.
I miss her even though I knew this was coming. She was 94 and had quite a life but it still doesn't seem like enough time.
