I'm a bit late -- but better late than never, right? By the way, in case you're wondering, my review for "Committed" has already been posted on

Identity Review
After Jimmy's determine speech at the end of "Prey", it set up a great new plot for this fresh new episode -- regarding the mysterious superhero. There are so many things I love about this episode. The plot was amazingly well-written by two of Smallville's executive producers, Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer.
Freak of the Week - Sebastian Kane
Kyle Schmid guest star as the freak of the week, Sebastian who has a power to steal memories by physically making contact with a person. The actor is suprisingly handsome -- but that hair reminds me of Clark's hair back in season 6 (I think).
Tess Mercer
I'm really interested in knowing why she cried in the flashback when Sebastian touched her shoulder. I'm really loving Cassidy's acting as an evil person. The little talk she has with Clark really somehow resembles Clark's scenes with Lex. I dunno -- maybe because Tess really seems like the female version of Lex.
Chloe Sullivan
Her character these days really confused me. One minute she gave the pep talk on Clark's determination to hide his identity which really is something Clark desperately hear now -- she actually looked cheerful all the time at the ISIS Foundation. The other time, she's being such an evil person who actually helped Clark hiding his identity. I am really, really intrigued to see how her character is now and how much did Braniac can affect her mind.
Oliver Queen
I really like the playboy Ollie cause he's so much fun to see, though I don't like the drinking part. Aside from the fact that he's being kinda loose, he actually came up with some great comments to Clark's outburst.
Ollie looked so silly in that mask and cape, especially when he made that superior pose on the roof -- but it works out really well and shows us a little glimpse of Supes costume. "You made out with my girlfriend -- what do you have to complain about?" -- that line made me laugh so hard and I really love the Hydro reference.
The last scene with Clark and Ollie was really heart-wrenching. I love Ollie's self-realisation. "Underneath it all, the person I am is Green Arrow." -- Real nice. I'm really glad these two friends settled their issue -- well, in Ollie's part, that is.
Why is he living in his plane, anyway? What happened to his apartment?
Lois Lane
As you all might already know, she's the main reason why I'm watching this show, aside from wanting to see Clark Kent's developing character. She's actually getting exciting to see each time she's onscreen. The scene at the planet when she's on phone with the police (supposably) -- I found it funny that people hung up on her.
In the beginning of the episode, .Jimmy was trying to make Lois see the fact that Metropolis has new hero and she easily dismissed the fact -- it's believable for her character (who is usually into these weird things) since Lois has never made an encounter with this "new" hero. In "Instinct", she came close to see the red and blue blur, but I don't think she actually saw it, and in "Committed", I don't think she even realised the fact that so many supernatural things happened at the dungeon. I love the scene where she got mugged, and I fully expected her to do what she did there. I love Lois when she's all riled up.
The little date Lois has with the new mysteriously handsome reporter, Sabestian -- I actually LOVED every minute of it, despite being a hardcore Clois fan. The setting was really nice and I love the music at the background. Lois was obviously in her investigative mode with her prison questions -- although, it's weird that she let him take her hand since she knew this guy isn't normal but I'm not complaining because we get to see some nice flashbacks -- the brief scene after her first encounter with Sebastian which apparently tells us why she's a top reporter and I'll get back to the scene at the talon later. I absolutely love this line, "The last I went to see tell me I was destined to fall for a guy who flies a lot and likes to wear tights so I'm just waiting for my (??) Pilot to make his landing" and "Spell check is actually my best friend". Oh Lois -- You have no idea how true that is. The scene at the Talon was awesome! Lois kicked ass twice in one episode. Lois Lane never gave up and her determination was really admirable.
"I won't stop until I land the first world wide exclusive interview," best line ever!
Clark Kent
His determination to hide his superpower really is getting old now. He's actually tried everything in his power to do just that and it's starting to annoy me. Why the hell did Clark go to Chloe and ask her to delete Jimmy's picture? I don't see why he can't do it himself. I LOVED Chloe's speech on him having an alter ego and from the looks on his face, he might just considering the suggestion -- and then he made another approach in convincing Tess that this isn't a real story for the Daily Planet. The part where he discards all his red and blue outfits was really amusing. I didn't know why he even ask if Chloe gave Jimmy all the old newspaper about the miraculous saving because it's like he's not trusting Chloe, aside of making it sounded like he's insulting Jimmy's capability in researching. Clark went to Chloe again. Why would he do that? He should've known that Jimmy will go to Chloe for something this big because -- well, she's his fiancée, other half, etc. I'm not annoyed of the fact that he tried not to let Jimmy into his secret, but more on the decision of making a story out of the red and blue blur.
After my complain about Clark's errors (in my eyes) -- I do believe that this whole storyline is actually working. The bottom line -- Clark is trying to protect Jimmy and that was his main priority and of course he is still not ready to come out of his shell yet. I love the part where Clark observes the looks on everybody's face when they saw the "new" hero at the roof and come to realize that what Chloe said was right.
Lois Lane and Clark Kent
I can't leave these two out when I'm writing my review, can I? I loved the scene at the Talon. Clark's excuse of being at the Talon was really lame and funny. The look on his face when he realized that the dress Lois wore is so small was so priceless. "When a guy likes a girl, he asks her out." -- The way Lois said it -- like talking to a two years old -- was really funny. "Do you always wear so little on your first date?" My my, is he actually jealous? Lois asked him to behave himself when Sebastian knocked on her door. He's acting like a jealous boyfriend. It's soooo funny. When he cleared his throat and gave Sebastian a sharp look -- I hurt my stomach laughing. I LOVED the brief flashback on the Talon scene when Clark was zipping Lois's dress. This girl is actually smiling and blushing like a school girl.
Lois ended up calling Clark in the midst of the hectic thing going on. I think, on some level now, she knew she knew he could count on him. He saved her ass when she got locked at the dungeon - maybe she noticed that she’s always get lucky whenever Clark is around - but this is just me.
The last Clois scene at the Daily Planet was awesome too. Is it just me or did Clark look happy when he made the statement about Lois disastrous date? So now -- apparently, Lois and Clark were looking out for each other. NICE!
Jimmy Olsen
Well -- I saved the best for last. Finally! We get to see a LOT of Jimmy in his enthusiasm in looking out for great story. Aaron was great in this episode. His Jimmy actually reminded me of Jimmy in Lois & Clark: The New Adventure of Superman and in the movies.
I especially love the part when he started to realise that Clark could be the hero. He actually had a haunch before he saw the Kent's family picture -- exactly after the point where he said that the mysterious incident started to happen more in Metropolis. I think he's starting to connect all the dots there and was convinced when he saw the picture of Clark in red jacket. Jimmy was AWESOME and so CLOSE! I love the admiration look on his face the whole time he's starring at Clark. The Jimmy I have seen in LnC and Superman Movies had great admiration on Lois and Clark and saw them as his role model. It's the trait that I love so much in Jimmy. I'm not sure I like it when he made that small speech on being Lois' shadow which brings me to this confusion. "I've been stuck in Lois' shadow ever since I landed at the Planet." -- Didn't he work at the Planet before Lois comes in? If the line has been "I've been stuck in Lois' shadow ever since she landed at the Planet," I wouldn't give it much a thought.
All in all -- Excellent episode for Jimmy.
Wardrobe
I love eyery outfits the casts are wearing. I love Lois's black outfit and of course -- her dress looks amazing. I loved seeing Clark in that grey T shirt and white shirt underneath.
Another amazing episode. I'm giving it a smoking 4.5 out of 5 stars.
