Smallville S08E10 "Bride" - My Rambling...

Nov 22, 2008 00:45

Not my actual review, but more like my rambling. I just can't write good review now after seeing "Bride". I'm so sad to see Lois in this episode. I watched this episode like 3 times and those 3 times, I cried. How could Lois be treated the way she was treated here. She's full of hope and it's just devastating to see her getting crushed instead, by the return of Lana, no less.

I find it extremely weird that Lois and Clark just leaning into each other just like that -- especially on Clark's part; he actually leaned towards her. But can't say I'm complaining. Well -- you could say it's because they have these weird feelings surfacing inside them, but AFTER Lana made her appearance, Clark just stare at Lana and FORGET about Lois, whom he about to kiss! Seriously, this just like telling us that Clark has NO feelings for Lois at all -- was that "drumroll" moment meant nothing to him at ALL. He could've look back and forth between those two women, but instead, he just stared at Lana and again, FORGET about Lois (who is heartbroken ) and he NEVER ONCE look at Lois. Dammit!

I'm curious about this, but did Lana saw the almost kiss between Lois and Clark?? She stood under the shadow when they're at it. She could've witness it and thus why she would wanna back away. but that's just my crazy (and hopeful) thought.

I actually like the Clana talk (except the talk about wedding and Clark blame on his power). "Clark Kent and Lana Lang just weren't meant to end up together." Clark's smile could indicate that he understood and agreed, though it could be because of Chimmy sweet kiss, but eh... I think PS3 are gonna slowly making these two strictly as good friends... but the text Lana gets gave me second thoughts. Things are gonna get complicated.

I'm not liking the fact that Lana kick Ollie's ass. Seriously, how in the world does one "normal" girl get to "defeat" Oliver Queen who is supposed to be the member of the Justice League. Is this really Lana, or did they confuse her with Chun Li??

I love the Lollie moment -- I loved it when Ollie knew the fact that Lois was talking about Clark. This is how I'd like to see Lana and Clark become.

Now that I've seen it, despite the reason for Lois and Jimmy's absence being so very easy and lame, I do like how they made it comes out. I mean, it has to do with Erica's expression, Jimmy's condition and the prefect dialogue comes out of Erica's mouth. Lois looked absolutely devastated and it tears my heart out. Poor Lois... When Clark hugs her, I really cried so hard and she didn't seem to hug him back -- she looks utterly heartbroken. Oh.. poor, poor Lois. She was worried about her cousin, and Jimmy... and also her heartache for Clark... It's just devastating. Erica was AMAZING the entire time.

Chimmy was absolutely cute and I LOVE it when Jimmy dips Chloe. Totally reminds me of their kiss in "Noir". Apparently, Jimmy was right to be panic about seeing his bride before the wedding. I just LOVED the fact that Jimmy protects Chloe when Doomsday tried to get her.

Seriously -- Poor Lois... *cries* She's treated so not how she wants it and I really do hope after this, Clark will realise his error of "abandoning" Lois.
