Writer's Block: Agree to disagree
I have never stopped being friends with someone over political ideology, but at the same time, I don't think I could be friends with someone who is opposed to same sex marriage, because then we aren't just talking about a political issue, we're talking about a bunch of people not having the same rights as others. Similarly, I do have friends who don't really fit the bill for pro-choice, but they aren't really pro-life - they see the difference between what *they* would do, and preventing other women from being able to make that decision. I don't think I could be friends with anyone who thought abortion should be re-criminalized
