Here we go, off into the deep end.......
So, I know it's been forever and a day since I lasted posted regularly, but honestly that's cause I've been busy as all get out. So here's the low down on what's been going on with me, or at least as much as I can think/get out right now (want more info then hit those digits).
First off, been back at school since mid-August. About to hit the midterm mark, which seems crazy cause it feels like just yesterday I was at camp. I'm on my last year of actual classes. Fall of next year (2008) I will be student teaching. Yes, yes, I know scary to think. "what?!? Karl graduate finally???? and he's going to be a teacher nonetheless????" All jokes aside, I'm really excited, I think I can honestly say I'm finally ready to take on the "real world" and no not the mtv piece of shit show (yes I can say that since I used to watch it back in the day myself). I'm ready for the challenges of teaching my own classes, coming up with some awesome new projects and all that jazz. Back to the whole current school stuff though, I'm currently taking a ceramics studio and painting. Both seem challenging, but not too overwhelming just keeping me busy with most of my free time spent in the studios. I'll try and post pics on my facebook account of my projects. Next semester I have to take a black and white photo course and I'm really hoping to take the advanced ceramics course. Oh and a final note, working for PLM again doing the whole peer minister thing and I designed a new t-shirt for us again this year (nothing big, but yeah general update and all ya know).
Well enough about my courses and school and all that junk, time for the update of the family life. My brother and his wife are pregnant again. This time it's going to be a boy I found out recently, they're thinking of the name Evan Patrick Teskey. Now if you're quick to pick it up the intials are EPT, which was unintentional but we all found amusing. My grandma should be back out of the hospital soon. She's been doing rehab after some treatments for multiple conditions. From what I hear she's been quite the ornery patient at the hospital, which I guess you could expect since "orneriness" runs in my family. I just found out the other day that my aunt and uncle are getting divorced after all this time, which sucks and all. My aunt is living with us for now back home, hopefully things will end up good, or as good as they can be.
Third part of the update, on to the personal stuff. Well let's see, where to start. Well no better place to start then the top, for all concerned (especially my dad who refers to me as a hippie because of it) my hair is still getting longer. Got it trimmed a little beginning of september, but not much. I'm loving it the longer it gets, so who knows when this craziness will end. Ummm, let's see, oh here's an easy and obvious one I'm bone broke. This should come as no surprise for those who know me, I never have much money even when I'm working all the time, just kinda how things are for me and guess it's good that I'm getting used to it now, since I'm trying to be a teacher (and they don't get paid for shit). There's some other things too, a little more personal and private, some happened over the summer and some since I got back to school. If you really want to know I have no problem talking about it, just don't want to air out my dirty laundry on here too much (for the summer stuff) and don't want to jinx myself (for the things since school started).
Well, I guess that's long enough to hold all ya crazy kids over till the next time. If not, then like I said earlier hit those digits if ya got them.
