2006 IS TOTALLY GUNNA KICK 2005'S ASS:

So tonight I learned that according to some scientific study it was discovered that people deal with their emotions and whatnot better when they're tired. This is because they're forced to face them because they cant just run away with them. Because of this people are better at being themselves, making good, true friends, sharing emotions, and just generally feel better about themselves when they're sleep deprived for an extended period of time. That would describe my situation last year. And so now that it's 2006, and this is my 1st entry for the new year, I've made a handful of resolutions that I really want to stick by. The year has started off on the right foot for me thus far, as Phil's party was even AWESOMER than last year. I havnt slept since Erik came in my room and jumped on me at 1 in the afternoon yesterday. So when I arrived at Phil's house at 7, armed with my video camera, which died whilst I was trying to make a good establishing shot, I was soon presented with my secret santa gift of a pair of orange happy feet from Phil! I got the battery all charged up before most people got there and got lots of good footage of playing "imigaine iff", just sitting around talking, gun fights, and other random bits. The ball dropped and I suddenly felt releived. Its amazing how a mental boundary like that can just be lifted by something so stupid as changing over a new calendar year. But I like thinking of it like that, new beginnings, a whole year to not make the same mistakes I made last year but to make a whole new set of ones and have an awesome time along the way. I didnt care about anything for a while, I just took in the whole scene of people running barefoot in the snow and just having fun. The night was just awesome and pretty much all that I needed. I wish I could see those kids every day like I do my friends at school when I'm there. Somewhere around 7 Pat and I decided to hit up dunkies for some coffee, breakfast samiches, and donuts for everyone back at the house who was still awake. After enjoying more conversation, we played an awesome game of Swashbuckler which I havnt played since senior year of highschool, so I spent quite some time as the "not Desmond" and "Tom Selek". But it was awesome nonetheless. As more and more people started to wake up, my allergies to the cat started to hit me harder and harder. I finally had to leave it was getting so bad. Thank God it didnt happen earlier in the night though. And now I just need to sneeze an entire cat out of my nose and get some sleep and I'll be A-OK!
