So I was reading today on the internet that they have cast the role of Alfred Pennyworth in the new Batman movie, "Batman: Intimidation Game". Micheal Caine will be playing the man who cooks Batman's meals, and washes his tights. AN interesting choice, to be sure, but I was sort of hoping that Adam West might get the part. I mean, why not? He played Batman on TV for over a hundred episodes. It would be a kind of cool thing to see him return to the franchise in some fasion, and he's actually older then Caine so he's the right age for Alfred. Still, Caine is an interesting choice.
I would sure love to see Burt Reynolds get cast in this movie as James Gordon. If you look at Burt in Boogie Nights (one of my all time favorite movies) He looks like Gordon. He just needs the long brown trenchcoat and the pipe. He'd make a wonderful James Gordon. Throw in someone like Dennis Franz as Harvey Bullock, and you'd have the strongest supporting cast of any Batman film yet.
