Fucking Genius
Now, remember my last LJ post when I was referring to the silliness of the conspiracy theories in hip-hop? One of the biggest targets is Jay-Z. There's enough youtube videos to keep interested for weeks on him alone.
Well, he just came out with a new video. The first one for 2010.
I absolutely love this video. One, he's totally fucking with the heads of the conspiracy theorists, putting things there for people to over-analyze and interpret. Secondly, there's a great artistic feel to is, and is related to an avant-guarde feel. (It's almost above Gaga)
Thirdly, because he released it right on the New Year, it will be the first thing people see, plus the 'controversy' will have people talking about it for months. If you need further detail why I enjoy the video, I'll post. But for now, I'm just... quite pleased.
