wow! it's been quite some time since i've been here. a lot has happened...let's see... we had the sno-core concert on tuesday and that's been a week ago already. the concert ran pretty smoothly. i ran coat check...hehehe..."coat check one dollar" that was my job all night-i raised $17...bad idea on the coat check in april. it wouldn've been a fabulous idea in december or january. hmmm...just a thought. glad that week is over.
i went home last wed night so that i could have a long weekend for easter. it was great to get away from this place for awhile. i can't believe it tho, my little brother turned 14 on friday the 9th. Geez...14!! he's so funny...i love the kid to death. It was nice to see the whole family for once. Mike and Erin came over, and John and Andrea came up from school. Mom and Dad were home too:) On easter sunday, we had my dad's family over for dinner. Gramma and Grandpa couldn't make it...too sick to come over. too bad. it was nice, however, to see all the aunts and uncles. i came back on sunday night for a little bit of oldies.
me and the girls went to oldies night dressed in our easter attire! it was sooo fun. we had the bunny ears and tails. we were cute!
went to work on monday night...three hours, two tables, and 21 dollars later i left. man that sucks. oh well...hopefully i'll make a few more bucks on thursday. i'm sooo broke lately i don't know what to do. my job is not realiable enough to make a decent amount of money. i'm barely making the bills.
on the bright side of a money issue...my mom got a promotion at work. She's eighth level now, which means she gets a new car every two years, a cell phone, and of course a raise! congrats to my mom and all her hard work. so her big project for the next year is to get the rack and pinion steering gear ready for the 2006 suv's. it'll be lots of work, but i know she can do it:)
oh yeah...backing up to saturday night at home... i went up to Karp's...the little hometown bar in Reese. It's just a little bowling alley bar back home. the nice thing about it is that everyone there thinks i'm 21 alreay so i get served. it's nice to be able to go into the bar and just chill with my beer:) it was great to see all the guys--and stacey. Craig and i had a very great talk. It's funny cuz i enjoy spending time with him, and it's always nice to have the conversations that we have. we spent about an hour just catching up with eachother. we talked about everything under the sun. It was good to catch up with aaron as well. he's so funny he cracks my shit up:) and of course todd, paul, and brian were there. Lisa was too. it's really interesting that lisa and i both go here and NEVER see eachother, but we go back home and spend time together. junior and toni hoed us out. lol oh well, i suppose that's what you get when two of your friends start seeing eachother...they want to spend all their free time together, without others. hmmm...don't know what that's like. lol.
let's see what else happened?? oh yeah...i talked to my mom about my birthday plans!! if you're reading this, you're invited!! My birthday is July 5th so i'll be celebrating on the night of the 4th...that's a Saturday. We'll be chillin' at my parents house in the afternoon/evening, then we'll take off to bay city for the fireworks at my brother and sister-in-laws place...right on the river:) after the fireworks it's back to mom and dad's in the middle of BFE to tap the Keg...yes the keg...mom already promised me i'm getting one...i'm thinking of miller lite!! so if you're interested in coming, let me know and i'll keep you posted!! i only live an hour from cmu, so it's not too far:) now i know most of you are thinking...but i spend the fourth with my family, well, it's my birthday and i vote you take a year off and spend the weekend with me and MY family...we're TONS of fun!! oh yeah...and bring your tent, we've got a huge backyard, a hot tub, pool table, trampoline, and a huge house! we know how to do it in Munger. and if you can't make it for the birthday, clear your calendars for the last weekend in july for the munger potato fest. what more can you ask for. demolision derby, figure 8, and of course... a beer tent! but you have to be 21...or have a fake;) hehehe.
anyway...that's all my news for now:)
keep dreaming sweetly, night all!!!
Kayla Ann
