"it has nothing to do with sean and everything to do with his poarch"

traci went to prom tonight. When Rachel told me that I froze.

Prom. Something I had not thought about in a long time. A night that can only be remembered in strings of unsequential moments.

The sun set leaving my mom's house, the look on my date's parent's faces, the entrance into the ballroom, how he helped me take the countless bobypins out of my hair, glitter. I hadn't thought about taking my hair down in years. Strange the things we remember.

Rachel and I concured the feeling of nostolga had us yurning to take a couple of six packs over aand sit on his parents poarch.
His responce: "dear god no"
Rachel: "it has nothing to do with sean and everything to do with his poarch"
his responce: "obviously I can't stop her but whatever"

It was one of those moments that made me wish to be on heights blvd, sitting at deeds, or driving aimlessly through the heights. Not to mention question why I'm living in the suburbs away from everything that was familar. But then I remember the rent is cheap, my job is close, and that hasn't been part of my life for years now.

I feel old, weird, and wishing I was 24.
(and on the poarch steps)
