Procrastination is so very fun.
1) Total number of books in your house:
I have no idea. Probably a few hundred.
2) The last book you bought was:
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. 'Tis wonderful so far.
3) What was the last book you read?
A historical mnograph on Elizabeth I. How dull am I?
4) Write down 5 books you often read or that mean a lot to you.
Let's see.
1. Malory Towers series by Enid Blyton. Probably the first proper books I read as a kid.
2. Matilda by Roald Dahl. I wanted to be her. I even pretended to move bits of chalk with my eyes. *is a dork*
3. Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling. This is the book that spawned my obsession. I liked the first two, but it was this one that really gripped me. Probably my favouite of the series so far (maybe tied with OotP).
4. Ballet shoes by Noel Streatfield. Was a ballet nut. This and another ballet series (the Sadlers Wells series by Lorna Hill) convinced me that being in the Royal Ballet was my One True Calling.
5. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. The first properly grown-up, "classic" book I read, which was when I started secondary school. And it is the only adult book on my list. Huh. Probably means I have some weird psychological issues to do with childhood. Anyway. This book is better than Prozac. Can always cheer me up when I'm down.
5) Who are you going to pass the stick to and why?
Everyone. You know you want to.
