My kingdom awaits...

ROAD TRIP, BABY!

Today is the day, my little kumquats. Today is the day my knights, i.e. Alistair, Chris and Andrew, in shining armour, i.e. Myland's car, come and rescue me, i.e. take me to a far off land known to some as "the bestest place ever and known to others as Stirling, and lavish me with gifts, i.e. adoration and beer. It shall be rambunctious and jolly and there may be boobs... again. And a slush puppy for me. Who knows?

I am excited, just so you all know.

I've been waiting for this day for so long. Just a little trip to a place I love with people I love, doing things I love. I get that that can also apply here at home but let's face it, it's not really the same. I want to be there. And soon I shall be. It's just a waiting game now. Well, that and I need to have a shower and beautify myself to the max (because a lot of people haven't seen me in a while so it's like a first impression all over again and I want to look like shex-on-a-stick) and have lunch (a huge mo' fo' of a sandwich using some of the leftover chicken and stuffing from last night. Yum-frikkin'-Yum!) and just be excited and jubilant in nature, all of which I can do.

Oh, that and Jessica will be by to a) lend me "The Monk" because I'm nearly finished my current book and with my non-sleep issues I'll be done soon and will need more than one book for the next ten days away; b) just say "hello" in general - I need the goss and some actaul contact with my sister, I only ever speak to her on the phone these days and she's not the best phone-chatter. In fact, she's pretty sucky at talking on the phone; she doesn't listen and gets distracted and always sounds bored and whatnot, so I'd really rather grill her in person about stuff. Grill sounds harsh but you know what I mean. I want goss! and c) show me Mum's gift (which isn't exactly what I'd wanted, from what I've been told but it's still something extra which is what I mainly wanted: a little personal touch to the gift. I just hope the guy managed to do what he said he'd do, 'cause if not, I'll have to improvise a little something and I haven't thought that far ahead. I really thought that what I wanted would be totally do-able and easy and commonplace, but apparantly my imagination is wild and my ideas far-fetched. Well, not that, in so many words but whatever) and get a few bits of the rest of it from me and then she'll be on her way to see Mummy and wish her a Happy Birthday. I shall phone her later. But for now, because I know she reads this on occasion: Happy 50th Birthday Mummy! I love you!

So, I'm all packed and whatnot. And I have to say I've done relly well. A pat on the back for me. I have got so much stuff in such a small space and it's all cool. I just need to do all the things I've listed above and wait.
And be excited.
Which I am.
Woo Hoo.
Excitement!
Yee Haw!

Tonight there's a get-together at ours where there shall be drinks and Chinese... and me.
I will be there.
In Stirling.
Holy Moly Mother of Pearl!
