Who: Andrew, Pietro, Billy, Spike
When: Yesterday
Where: London
What: Pietro taking Andrew out to see some London nightlife.
Why: Reasons! EmoAndrew is Emo
The blond stood outside Piccadilly circus pulling up his collar against the wind, he'd run to London from the house and was now stood at the steps looking at the adverts lighting up the dark in front of him.
"I...ummm.....hi?" Andrew smiled shyly at him as he wandered over, attempting a cool nonchalance, but instead shivering with unrestrained fan-squee.
He blinked at the squeak and sighed, "I really need to find some friends." he muttered to himself before smiling, "You ready?"
"Friends?" asked Andrew curiously, before grinning and nodding. "YES!...I...um...mean..yes, please."
He laughed looking at him "Where do you know me from? My modelling?"
Andrew looked at him as if he were crazy. "No, I know you from the comics."
"The comics...Oh...the ones where I'm divorced and a psycho?"
"Yep," said Andrew. "I....um...well, not exactly a psycho....um..."
"I'm a psycho and ugly."
"You were brought up by Magneto," said Andrew flatly. "And you're not."
"Did you see how old they drew me. ravages of time travelling or something, it looks bizarre." he replied as he started walking.
"You've...seen your own comics?" asked Andrew, surprised.
He nodded, "I saw a few then it got too weird and I shoved them away somewhere.
Andrew smiled. "I guess that's a bit scary, seeing yourself like that."
"Very...I'e got a daughter though...that's kinda weird."
"Luna," offered Andrew with a smile.
"Like the batty one off Harry Potter?"
"I...ermm....not so much, no," Andrew smiled. "Isn't that like that for you?"
He shook his head, "Never met this Crystal girl." he replied as he walked towards Soho. "And considering she apparently cheats on me, I don't know if I want to."
"Hmmm, that's strange," Andrew considered. "Maybe you're from another 'verse."
"Verse?"
"Universe," said Andrew. "There's a few. Do you still have your sister?"
"Yeah, there's no getting rid of her." he replied running a hand through his hair as they walked though the busy streets.
"Hmmmm," Andrew considered. "And your dad is still Magneto, right?"
"Well yes but try not to spread it around."
"Okay," Andrew considered. "What do you call your team?"
"My team?"
"Yes, you know, the people you work with," said Andrew. "Or worked with"
"Oh The Brotherhood I guess. That was more of a lived with thing"
"Oh, okay," Andrew considered this again. "Hmmm, Ultimates maybe? Evolution? One of the younger ones."
"The younger what?”
"Younger versions of you," Andrew clarified.
"How can I be a younger version of me, I am me."
"Oh, well there's older versions and younger versions, all in separate universes, parallel worlds, if you will, but all still technically you," Andrew babbled, his shyness vanishing for the opportunity to delve into geekdom.
He blinked staring at him. "You're a bit of a geek aren't you?" he asked walking past the queue towards the doors of the club.
Andrew blushed, ducking his head. "Um......yes...sorry."
He smiled, "It's alright, you're cute." he replied ruffling his hair a bit as the bouncers let them through immediately as Pietro gave a wink walking into the gay club.
Andrew flushed, ducking his head. "I....um....thank you?"
He grinned smiling at the men turning to look at him and enjoying every second of it, "Isn’t' this great?"
"I...umm.." Andrew took stock of exactly where he was and squeaked. "I......yes?"
He looked at him, "You've been to a club before right?"
"Uuuuumm...." Andrew considered for a moment, then decided that the Bronze counted. "Yes?"
He looked at him curiously "Well try to look a little more comfortable then." he replied walking to the bar and ordering a drink, "What do you want."
"Yes...okay," Andrew coughed, trying to straighten up and look tough. "A Zima, please."
He looked back at him amused, "A zima and a vodka and coke." he ordered with a laugh smiling as a guy leaned over whispering in his ear as he waited for the drinks.
Andrew cleared his throat, leaning on the bar and watching around him.
He grinned as the other man paid for them chuckling as he handed one to Andrew. He then motioned to the stage, "They've got a talent thing going on tonight."
"Oh, they do?" Andrew smiled, a little nervously.
He grinned, "I thought you could go up and sing."
"Oh...I...umm...I guess so?", tried Andrew, blushing.
He grinned "why not? Gay men, a twink and Britney you can't go wrong." he chuckled
"I...I guess not," Andrew's blush deepened.
"Go on, I liked it, they'll love it."
"I...um....okay," Andrew flushed
He beamed "You never know you might get a date out of it, some of these are alright."
"Oh...I...um..." Andrew blushed even more.
"What? You've been on a date right?"
"Not.......exactly.....no," Andrew looked at the floor.
"Oh...isn't there a nice lad...where are you from?"
Andrew sighed. "Got wrapped up in someone for a long time," he murmured. "He's taken some getting over."
"Ah, first loves are like that, you don't forget them."
"Oh.....great," said Andrew hollowy.
He blinked at him, "That bad?"
"Yeah," sighed Andrew, looking at his drink.
He looked at him before sighing pulling him to the corner sitting down in the couch with his drink. "Come on then, spill."
"What? About him?" Andrew yelped as he was pulled down.
He shrugged, "Sure come on, love is interesting."
"Mine is wholly one way and very bizarre," said Andrew
"The best kind, when you're young you're foolish"
"Heh, more like stupid and blind." muttered Andrew.
He smiled, "Cute?"
"Pardon?" Andrew blinked
"Was he cute?"
"Oh....yes, he's gorgeous," sighed Andrew, picking at the top of his zima bottle.
He looked at him with a sigh, "Bad boy or geek? Oooh or jock?"
"Bad boy," said Andrew. "I guess that's closest."
He nodded smiling, "Bad boys are heart breakers." He replied taking a sip.
Andrew took a deeper swig. "Yeah, I noticed."
He sighed, "Is he a jerk?" he asked.
"No....he just....never felt the same," sighed Andrew.
He winced, "You didn't get...you know...hurt for it did you?"
"Depends on the hurt," said Andrew.
He frowned, "You know hit, humiliated that type of thing."
"I got bit in the neck?" offered Andrew.
He blinked staring at him, "In a good amazing sex kind of way or in a I'm being mauled by a rabid animal kind of way...or both?"
"In a vampire made to go crazy and bite people kind of way," said Andrew, tilting his neck and showing the scar on there.
He winced looking at him, peering at his neck, "Ouch...vampire...like a real vampire?" he asked
"Yes, a real vampire," said Andrew with a sigh.
"Yikes, was it very Anne Rice?"
Andrew looked at him for a very long time. "No. Not at all."
He nodded and shrugged, "I've never really fallen for one before,"
"This one keeps to the modern times," said Andrew.
He shrugged softly, "So you fell for a straight guy, easily done."
"He's married to another guy," said Andrew.
"Right...well married or straight, makes no difference really." "I'm sorry, look there's loads of blokes here, might distract you for a few hours."
"Yeah.... I guess so," murmured Andrew.
He sighed, "Or we can sit here you can bitch about him."
"No....I just...um...I'm not very good at...this," he waved his hands at the men dancing, talking and drinking, flirting all around them.
"It's not hard, not really."
"No?" asked Andrew. "I've never been able to do it."
"Oh, why not you're cute in a scrawny kind of way, just smile at a guy say hi I'm Andrew and talk to him."
Andrew looked more than a little frightened. "I....um...okay?"
HE looked around, "Maybe not a bad boy at first unless that's your type?"
Andrew thought back. "The one before Spike wanted to take over the world with robots."
"right...slightly less insane?"
"Warren wasn't insane, he was.....troubled," Andrew decided on.
"No troubled lot." he replied looking round and pointing, "That one looks pretty simple."
Andrew followed Pietro's finger. "I...um....you sure?"
He shrugged, "Don't like him?" he asked
"No....I mean...yes...I mean....umm." Andrew stood up. "I can do this."
"You can, go on he looks the shy type, you'll be fine." he murmured
Andrew took a deep breath and nodded, heading over to the stranger. "I.....um....hi."
The stranger looked at him then his drink before smiling shyly and offering his hand. "Hi.." he whispered.
Andrew took his hand, still smiling nervously. "I... I'm Andrew."
He smiled back William..Bill..people call me Billy." he replied trying to puff himself up to look confident and babbling instead.
Andrew decided to ignore the irony and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Billy."
He smiled looking around. "So umm...have you...do you come here often?" he asked
Andrew ducked his head, smiling softly. "I...um...no...I ...." he coughed. "This is my first time."
"Oh." he replied before smiling, "Me too, I'm a bit lost."
"I'm glad I'm not the only one, then," smiled Andrew, relaxing a little. "Feel like a fish out of water."
He nodded, "All these men it's a bit...you know."
"Overwhelming?" offered Andrew.
He nodded "Umm can I buy you another...zima?" he asked looking at his drink.
Andrew blinked, then blushed, nodding. "I...umm yes...thank you."
He smiled before ordering another and then offering it to him. "What do you do?" he asked "You're American right?"
"Yes, I was from Sunnydale, California, originally," said Andrew. "But I live in Scotland mostly, now. I um.." He considered a normal way to say he looked after a group of vampire-hunting supernaturally-powerful women. "....I train fighters."
He blinked at him, "Really?" he asked smiling.
"Kinda, yes," said Andrew, nodding. "What do you do?"
He smiledshyly, "Oh nothing exciting I'm an accountant."
"Oh, I don't know, working with numbers," Andrew smiled. "Someone has to do it."
He smiled, "I suppose." He replied. "We've got this one guy at work with one of those you don't have to be mad here but it helps things."
Andrew laughed. "Yeah, Xander put one of those up in the castle.......which is..um..one of our...bases."
“You work with fighters in a castle?" he asked with amazement.
"....That probably makes me sound like some sort of supervillian, doesn't it?" Andrew winced.
"Well no it just sounds incredible..."
Andrew smiled and ducked his head. "It's a good base, I guess."
He smiled softly, "Umm I know this is kinda...do you want a dance?" he asked
"Oh..umm.." Andrew blushed. "Okay."
He smiled shyly setting his drink on the bar and pulling him to the floor leading him through the throng of men.
Andrew blushed softly, following him through the crowd to the dance floor.
He came to a stop, turning to face him shyly moving from foot to foot.
Andrew chewed his bottom lip shyly, stepping a little closer.
Billy blushed putting his hands around Andrew's waist.
Andrew smiled, ducking his head a little as he put his arms around Billy's neck.
He smiled leaning in shyly pulling him close.
Andrew blushed as he moved closer, before dancing carefully, trying to watch his feet.
He smiled softly, "You dance better than me" he whispered
"Not much better," Andrew flushed.
He smiled shyly looking at him. "Are you like...do you have a boyfriend?" he asked curious.
"Oh...um..no, I don't," Andrew blushed, looking at him. "You?"
He smiled and shook his head, "I don't think I'd be here if I did."
"That's....um....yes," Andrew flushed. "Good point."
He blushed smiling, "It's alright, I asked the question." he murmured
Andrew chuckled, ducking his head. "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at this meeting new people thing."
"You're doing alright with me."
"I am?" he asked hopefully.
He nodded his arms sliding a little more around him.
Andrew blushed, smiling nervously as he shifted closer.
He smiled a hand coming up to play with Andrew's hair. "What do you train your fighters in?"
The younger man leaned happily into the touch. "Um.....self defence against armies," he said, leaving out the 'against evil and the undead' part.
Billy blushed as he played, "No I mean is it martial arts or guns or?"
"Oh," Andrew chuckled. "Martial arts, mostly, ancient weaponry. We don't use guns."
"Ancient weaponry? How come?"
"Yes, um...axes, swords, daggers," stakes, he added mentally. "Oh, we don't agree with them."
"But what about the people you fight?"
"They tend not to use guns," said Andrew. "They're......old fashioned."
"Is it like tournaments?" he asked
".......Kinda?" tried Andrew. Even if, no, no it wasn't like that at all.
"Are you sure?" he asked wondering why Andrew had said it like a question
"Yes?" Andrew coughed. "It's a little...complicated...um...secret."
"A secret tournament?"
"Oh no....um..the entire operation, very secret.....yes," Andrew coughed
He blinked looking at him, "What sort of training are you good at?"
"Oh.....lots of things," Andrew blushed.
"Like" he asked smiling at the blush
"Oh....um.." Andrew coughed. "Martial arts, spear work...morale lots of things.
He smiled, "Wow you must be amazing."
"Oh....um...no, not that great," Andrew ducked his head
He blushed, "You must be." He replied tilting his head up
Andrew blushed even deeper. "Oh....um...."
He smiled shyly chewing his lip, "At least I think so."
"I......thank you," murmured Andrew shyly.
"You're welcome." He whispered as they were shoved close.
.
Andrew squeaked, looking up at him from their closer perspective
. He blushed and smiled looking up at him with lowered lashes.
"I....ummmm," Andrew chuckled shyly.
He smiled, "I....this ...umm do you mind if I take you somewhere a little quieter out the back?”
Andrew gulped a little, his heart thundering in his chest. "I....um.....okay."
He smiled taking his hand and pulling him through the crowd towards the back door.
Andrew took a deep, calming breath, before letting himself be led away, glancing over at Pietro as they passed him.
The blond was suitably distracted by a scantily clad glitter boy dressed in angel wings. Billy smiled turning the handle and stepping out into the cold night air.
Andrew took a deep breath, stepping outside after Billy, his breath forming clouds in the air.
He smiled pulling him along the alley before coming to a stop in the moonlight
Andrew stopped, looking up at him, his face flushed, blue eyes bright.
Billy smiled playing with his hand before leaning in
Andrew took a deep breath, before closing the gap, pressing his lips against Billy's.
Billy smiled kissing him gently before blushing and pulling away watching him with a smile.
Andrew blushed as they pulled away, ducking his head.
He grinned before changing suddenly teeth digging into Andrew's neck before they were yanked away and Andrew was covered in a shower of dust, a smoking Spike in its place.
Andrew squeaked, jumping back, blinking a few times, before
frowning. "OH COME ON!" he said. "Do I have some sort of SMELL?!!"
Spike blinked looking at him before grinning, "Looks like it pet." He replied with a grin as he handed him a fag.
Andrew groaned, ignoring it and leaning back against the wall. "Is it so much to ask for," he said. "For me to like someone who is nice and normal and doesn't want to kill or eat me?"
He shrugged putting the cigarette back leaning against his wall beside him blowing out into the air. "I wouldn't worry pet, at least you're better off than Harris."
"That isn't even a little bit comforting, Spike," said Andrew, then closed his eyes. "I should have been able to tell. I'm a Watcher, damnit."
Spike looked over at him, "What're you doing picking up blokes in bars like that anyway?"
"Pietro seemed to think it would be good for me," Andrew closed his eyes. "I should go back to my little castle in Italy and live as a hermit surrounded by Slayers."
He chuckled softly glancing at him, "You should hang around Caritas, at least you can't get eaten there."
"OH yes, that's a swell way of not meeting vampires, in a demon bar," said Andrew dryly.
He shrugged, "Nothing wrong with a vampire." he replied
"Except they all want to eat me," pointed out Andrew.
He smiled ducking his head looking at him, "Do you want a drink?" he asked
"No, I want to curl up into a ball and cease to exist for a bit," replied Andrew hollowy, sitting on the pavement with a plop.
Spike sighed looking down at him before sitting down and wrapping his arm around him pulling him close. "Hush love."
Andrew leaned against him for a moment. "I'm just tired of having sucky luck."
"It gets better love, how old are you?"
"Twenty six," mumbled Andrew quietly.
He smiled and rested his head against his. "Love I was your age when I was turned...shall I let you into a little secret?"
"What?" asked Andrew with a sigh.
He turned his head and looked at him, "By your age...hadn't even been kissed. " he replied
Andrew frowned, looking at him. "But you're....YOU. You had a robot sex slave, for crying out loud."
He smiled and shrugged, "I was in love with this girl...who thought I was ...well didn't think I was worth the ground she walked on. Sex slave or not it's been a popular theme in my love life."
"Yeah, well in case you haven't noticed, Buffy has real relationship issues, I mean recent....." he coughed. "Not talking about that. And you're not making me feel any better."
He smiled looking at him, "Yeah well," he replied squeezing his arm around him. "Just remember that twenty six is nothing pet."
"I'm not a vampire, I don't live forever and in my line of work I'm likely to die painfully young," pointed out Andrew.
He shrugged softly "You ever fallen in love pet?"
Andrew shifted away from him a little. "Bad topic, let's move on please."
He pulled him close and played with his hair. "Some people don't even get that love.”
Andrew frowned, trying to squirm out of his grasp again. "Didn't get me far, can I go back to being miserable now?"
He rolled his eyes letting him go and blowing out a smoke ring. "You don't suit miserable. “
"A guy I liked turned out to be a vampire and tried to eat me," said Andrew flatly. "I think I'm allowed."
It was one night pet, not the love of your life."
"Fine," Andrew sighed, standing up.
Spike looked up at him and shrugged, "The drink's open if you want it." He replied. "You know where I am." He replied swooping out of the alley
"Yeah.....thanks," sighed Andrew, watching him go, before sighing, starting back off towards where he was spending the night.
A blond head peered out, " Hey I wondered where you'd gotten to." he replied with a smile.
"Oh.....hi Pietro," said Andrew, pausing.
He smiled, "You heading off?" he asked
"Yeah," murmured Andrew, shrugging. "Long night."
He frowned softly, "You alright?" he asked
"Yeah," Andrew coughed. "Guy wasn't all he cracked up to be, is all."
He sighed, "Want me to walk you home?"
Andrew glanced about, then nodded. "Um...yeah....thanks."
He smiled, disappearing in for a moment before reappearing popping a number into his pocket "Come on." He replied walking into the alley.
Andrew put his hands into his pockets, following him, looking at the floor.
He glanced at him," Hey it gets better." he whispered.
"Yeah?" asked Andrew with a sigh. "So they tell me"
He smiled nudging him, "It does." He replied." Sides like I said you're a cutie."
Andrew smiled a little. "Thanks, but I attract the wrong sort, or I'm attracted to the wrong sort....either way, a lot of the wrong sort going on."
He smiled softly, "Hey don't worry at least you attract some sort." he murmured
"Like you don't?" Andrew arched a disbelieving eyebrow.
He shrugged softly and smiled to himself "Might be nice to be that in love again."
Andrew frowned. "But you're....you."
He smiled, "What I can't want to be in love?"
"Yeah, I mean...I thought you'd have plenty, is all," Andrew shrugged.
"That's different, Sex and love isn't always the same thing."
"I know that," Andrew murmured. "You just have to work on it and not expect the sex part right away."
He pulled a face, "How long would I have to wait?"
Andrew shrugged and smiled a little. "As long as it takes."
He pulled a face, "Okay maybe I don't need it that badly."
Andrew arched a brow. "Can't have it both ways," he chuckled softly.
He sighed, "Why not?"
"Because life's like that," said Andrew.
He grumped "Oh fine be a spoilsport.
Andrew chuckled. "Hey, don't look at me as a life coach, I suck at this."
He shrugged softly, "Yeah well there's a reason I'm stuck in a job with a bunch of kids for company."
"Kids are nice," Andrew smiled.
He chuckled, "Yeah but not quite what I need."
"Then wy work with them?" Andrew asked, shrugging.
He smiled, "I can have a private life and work with kids." he chuckled
Andrew arched a brow. "...And that's not what you need?"
"No having just kids for company is not what I need.
"Oh, right," Andrew smiled a little.
He smiled, "Right..." he chuckled softly. "That being said I might know someone."
"What? For you?" asked Andrew.
"No for you well if you tell me what you like...and what you like are gorgeous but dumb."
Andrew frowned. "Actually, most of the people I liked were pretty smart."
"Oh...yeah ...only ones i can think of then are mutants. Some are cute..."
Andrew let out a breath. "I think I'll miss out for a while...."
"What's wrong with mutants?"
"Nothing!" squeaked Andrew quickly. "I just...I don't think I'm ready for the dating thing."
"Ah... why not?"
"Because I pick the wrong guy," said Andrew
"Ah...well how is time going to change that."
"I don't know," Andrew shrugged.
"Wisdom and love doesn't really go together"
"Guess not," Andrew chuckled.
He smiled, "You'll be alright, you'll break hearts in no time. I like this curly thing by the way, makes you look Raphaelite."
"I'm going to pretend I know what that means and take it as a comliment," he smiled, ducking his head.
He grinned, "You look like a painting. An old one."
"Oh....thank you...I think."
He smiled, "They're good paintings."
"Oh...okay then," he blushed.
He grinned, "Is that a blush?"
"Maybe," the blush deepened.
He laughed, "We’ll make a blushing bride of you yet."
"Heeeeeey!" Andrew laughed
"What? You're the one bright red?"
Andrew ducked his head. "I blush easily!"
He laughed gently "It suits the curls."
"I...um...thanks," he whispered
He grinned, "Look at you."
"Can't do that without a mirror," Andrew chuckled
He laughed pleased to see he was feeling better, "Whereabouts do you live then?"
"I live everywhere," said Andrew pointedly. "I'm staying at a hotel right now."
"Well which hotel?" he asked
"Just down this way," Andrew chuckled.
"I live everywhere, I didn't ask for your history as the littlest hobo."
"I liked that show," said Andrew with a soft smile.
He smiled softly nudging him gently, "See you got a few looks in there
"Me?" Andrew asked. "You mean besides the vam.... jerk."
He nodded "You'd have got more if you'd sang."
Andrew smiled and blushed. "I don't think I'm cut out for the stage thing."
"Why not? You're bouncy enough." he chuckled as they walked
"I like being non-bouncy," said Andrew.
"I hate to break it to you but you're bouncy."
"Well....okay, but not so much in the...on stage...thing," babbled Andrew
"Why not?" he asked as they walked up to the hotel
"I don't know, a wallflower, I guess," he murmured.
He smiled coming to a stop on the doors. "Well you should put yourself out a bit more."
"I guess so," Andrew smiled, looking at the doors. "Um....thanks."
He smiled, "It's alright, I'm gonna head off, I might look you up if I want to go out again."
"Oh...um...thank you," Andrew blushed. "That would be...um..great."
He smiled, "Don't worry about it." Right well you've got my number, I'm gonna head off."
"Okay," Andrew smiled as he opened the door. "I'll...um..see you around."
He nodded, "Call me if you need anything. before he gave a nod before running off."
Andrew smiled, watching him race off, before heading inside.
