After waking up at 6:30 to do some early errands, I had my first day of class..here's the run-down:
9-9:50 - MUS 342, Music History
10-10:50 - MUS 302, Music Theory
11-12:20 - MUS 115, Wind Ensemble
12:35-1:50 - MUS 254, Jazz Improv
2:30-3:45 - EL 401, Law and Ethics of Educators
4-5:15 - CH 201, Core Humanities
It was great to see everyone again. In wind ensemble, we played some very interesting repertoire that I know that I'll love as we get more and more involved with it. Plus we're playing Armenian Dances, my favorite classical band piece of all time! Weeing everyone was so refreshing...
After a long, but fun day of classes, it was follow-up time! I just went to see Eryn, that girl who met me at the ski rental shop last week. She was happy to see me and I met a couple of her friends as well. One of them is into flying model airplanes, the other is just a cool down-to-earth girl like you, and then there's Eryn...we all hung out and chatted for like an hour and then we walked around each other's places and checked them out. Kyle's house has a 'wall of shame' where it's covered with all sorts of miscellaneous junk including envelopes with stupid names that he gave himself such as Hugh Jas. He also showed me his model planes...very awesome. We walked around to Nicollette's house and saw her maps that were papered all over their place. It was nice to meet new people; it reminded me of the new things to come during this new and promising semester.
