More decorating!
Hi everyone!
I've had another two fun packed and exciting days! Been at the house from 8:30 each day as B&Q were delivering things both days, possibly from then. The stuff from B&Q has arrived, apart from a few things that weren't in stock and we didn't expect to make it in by Monday, including the worktops. But thats fine as we would really struggle to find somewhere for the 3 3m worktops...
We have now got cables for plug sockets in the kitchen where we want the plug sockets, and we have batons on the back wall and one (out of six) piece of plasterboard attached to the wall. We will continue fitting the rest of them on Sunday when Brian comes back. We are poking the cable for the plugs through a hole cut in the middle of the board at the moment.
The rest of the house is pretty much done, just need to remove the rest of the wood from around the doors on the landing to replace with new ones, and put all the floorboards back after Kevin (electrician & plumber) has checked the wiring and connected it all up.
Work to be done in kitchen:
Plasterboard 2 walls in kitchen
Cut holes in plasterboard to put plug boxes in
Have plug boxes wired up and fuse box replaced
Remove gas fire & surround
Polyfill 1/2 a wall
Paint 2 walls white
Paint 4 walls green
Put kitchen cupboards together
Put sink & worktop in
Work to be done out of kitchen:
Remove arcitrave (bits round doors) on landing (2 down, 3 to go)
Stain new arcitrave and skirting boards
Put new arcitrave and skirting boards on
Finish removing paint from staircase bits
Put floorboards back/New floorboards down
Finish painting round landing
Probably more things than this to do, but thats alot of stuff there.
Tomorrow we are going to rest and do no decorating related work. Maybe go to CU but guessing we won't due to how tired we are. Hannah has just put another pile of photos onto flickr. Now its time to collapse into bed.
