Primary Purpose: Responsible for the organization and daily management of infant-toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, and summer camp early learning programs at the Mailman Segal Institute Family Center Preschool.
Essential Job Functions: 1. Oversee and manage all components of the Infant-Toddler, Preschool, Summer Camp, and Gap Camp programs.
2. Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all program faculty and staff.
3. Ensure all aspects of the early childhood programs, including environments and curriculum practices, are consistent with NAEYC and MSI standards.
4. Ensure all environments are healthy, safe, and clean.
5. Procure and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
6. Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures, county, state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements.
7. Recruit families for the Family Center Preschool.
8. Develop, monitor and effectively utilize Preschool Wait-list as a tool for granting admission to Preschool.
9. Organize the yearly calendars for Infant-Toddler and Preschool programs.
10. Schedule and arrange class placements.
11. Organize and conduct all Infant-Toddler and Preschool open houses and special events.
12. Arrange and supervise faculty meetings.
13. Maintain close relationships with all families enrolled in the Family Center programs and communicate effectively and regularly with them.
14. Develop and implement parent workshops.
15. Plan, maintain and update all budget components of the Infant-Toddler, Preschool, and Summer Camp programs.
16. Organize and implement staff in-service training programs.
17. Maintain all paperwork and implement guidelines to annually renew Child Care Licensing licenses.
18. Develop and update all enrollment forms including acceptance letters, information sheets, medical forms and contracts.
19. Develop and revise faculty and parent handbooks.
20. Oversee and monitor parent/teacher conferences.
21. Organize and supervise all screening procedures utilized in the Preschool.
22. Supervise I.E.P.'s for all special needs children mainstreamed into program.
23. Other duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. On an occasional basis, travels to nearby child care sites to evaluate, consult or present.
2. Assist Mailman Segal Institute divisions on special projects.
3. Attend University functions.

Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education Master's Degree
Major (if required): Education or related field
Required Experience: 1. Three to five years of administrative experience in a childcare setting.
2. Experience with interactive parenting programs.
3. Proven grant-writing experience.
4. Direct experience with early childhood administration, supervision, and budgeting.
5. Experience writing for professional publications.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Doctorate Degree
2. Previous educational experience in a teaching capacity.
3. Familiarity and experience with computers and software relating to word processing and spreadsheets.
