April 4, 2007 (Hence the 7-4-7 concert title)
I was late and I only had time to go to the concert just before it started. My feet were aching, but thankgod my friend was in line, with her other Japanese friends.
The concert started a few minutes after 7, I thought at least it would start at 7:07 or 7:17!
Se7en came out with a shorter haircut and still so sexy. Since we were in the standing area in front of the stage, we had a pretty good view! Se7en looks sooooo good now! *swoon*
His first song was surprisingly "Lalalala." Slow song, but I guess he wanted to show off his vocal range. He really has a good voice!
For me, the best thing about the concert was his solo, Brian Mc Knight;s One Last Cry. OMG... Se7en's English was so good! There is no hint of the Koreanaccent anywhere. (I just love it so much when se7en sings in English, like when he and Gummy sang If I ain't got you last year.) If Se7en speaks English like this with no accent, I guess he'd have a better chance with the American market.
The rest of the concert passed by in a blur. Lexy came out, and so did Big Bang. Wow, I didn't realize Big Bang was really cool, sort of a hip-hoppish boyband.
One funny part was when they did a GoongS taped skit. Someone orders 148 bowls of jjangmyon and champong at the stadium, and Se7en as his GoongS character takes the phone call. BK calls up the other jjangmyon boys to help out in delivering. One of the jjangmyon boys asked, deadpan, Who is Se7en? Everyone cracked up! Then, all the boys came out on stage, Se7en and BK rode their motorcycles, while the jjajangmyon boys came out with their takeout boxes. ^^
I loved how Se7en remade his songs with a twist! But I sort of thought the rain scene was kinda lame (just because Rain did that in the past right?), but Se7en in a wet white tee--- waaahhh!!! (wait, where are pics of those????) One of the coolest parts was when he suddenly grabbed a guitar and turned into rocker Se7en! Can you imagine I Know (난 아라요) as a rock song?
All in all, he did 23 songs! He went on this weird-looking contraption that swung him from one side to the other. Whoa!
It was really exciting since it was supposed to be Se7en's last concert here. I'm gonna miss Se7en!
EDIT: I jwanted to write a longer concert review of Se7en's concert just because I read some people were dissing his concert as disappointing. This was my third Se7en concert, not including the YGFamily one, and I think this was Se7en's best one yet. With all the bad press he's been receiving lately, I think Se7en is the underdog. This makes me even more determined to cheer him on. I hope he does prove everyone wrong! Go Se7en!
