Asian filmmakers rocked Cannes!
First Filipino director Brillante Mendoza wins Best Director.
And Park Chan-wook's Thirst wins third place Jury Prize. Yay!
Common denominator? Filipino actress Mercedes Cabral starred in both films.^_^
But this doesn't mean I'll be watching the movies, Kinatay and Thirst sound too gory for me. I heard some people walked out of the cinemas while watching Thirst. Blood and gore is not for me.
